3G signal so poor phones, two of them, roam and run batteries dead! VZW said I need a Network Extender, but want $250 and I must use my own DSL @ 1G+ or it won't work.

can text really well, but calls drop really quick in my house and sometimes dont even receive a call.. outside works great of course

Connection may start at 5 bars but it goes down to none and drops the call most of the time.

Fine reception for nearly 2 years. Now ZERO bars and ZERO 3G for most of the day. And I work at home! I need my phone!

We live in Tuscany. Everyone we have talked to about Verizon comments about the dropped calls and poor reception. Very frustrating and we feel that Verizon does not really care. We have called and customer service relates that they know they have a problem and are looking into into making the service more realiable. It is now two years having the same issue. Our contract is coming up so we will have to look at other carriers. Two of our friends have Sprint phones and have no problem in our area.

Used to have great reception at home. Since late Dec. 2010, dropped calls galore, multiple trouble tickets, and hours wasted with 'tech support'. Verizons resolution, "you live in a poor reception area". Really? for 6 years it was fine.

Never dropped a call in the first year I lived here... November of 2010, dropping calls like crazy..Verizon sucks

I have 7 out of every 10 call dropped. It is a hastle to try to call the bank or any other place that you need to be on line for some time. I get dropped and need to start over. Every one I communicate with knows we will be droppped so it is understood that I WILL CALL THEM BACK.

Never have trouble with reception or call quality. Works perfectly fine.

Have been with AT&T for 8 yrs now, been in Vegas for almost 2 yrs. Service is strong around the valley, lots of towers nearby. Few dropped calls here and there, but STATIC is a MAJOR drawback.

Good coverage in this area with Sprint, and basically all carriers. Upstairs gives 5 bars, while downstairs give 3 to 4 bars. Dr.down and past Discovery Park, along either way to get to 215 is fine (actually, there is a mono-pole on Paseo Verdo on the Jewish Temple property).

My phone goes from 6-0 bars in seconds and results in dropped calls. I also get all circuits are currently busy or your call cannot be completed at this time please try again later. Sprint is horrible in the Las Vegas Valley. I had few problems last year but this year they are getting worse. Not to mention the billing problems they have. I don't recommend anyone to ever get Sprint.

Verizion is worthless in this area. Reception varies and almost every call is dropped.

My reception varies drastically. Oftentimes I can be sitting in my apartment and have four bars one minute and zero the next without moving from the chair. I often get dropped calls in the middle of a conversation. The only comfort I've taken is in calling Sprint's automated number to get credit for the dropped call.

Reception along I-215 in Henderson is almost non-existant. Better in the Vegas area, except near Nellis AFB. Tin cans and a string would be better.

This whole area of town suffers from nonexistant or poor service.

For the most part I always have 5 bars. I always get good service. For work I have a Nextel phone / radio and it is worthless. The Verizon has some dead spots but the Nextel has dead zip codes practically. If you loose service expect not to get it back untill you drive about a mile. All cell services are going to have dead spots and I think Verizon has the least amount compared to T-mobile, Cingular and Sprint / Nextel (All of which I have had or had close friends who had then went to Verixon).

If I am lucky enough to get reception in the house, the call drops after 1-2 minutes. Even after acknowledging that they are aware of the fact that their service is terrrible in green valley area (they are supposed to have 2 new towers up in Sept.) Sprint wouldn't let me out of my contract until I finally got ahold of someone with his head screwed on straight today who let me go without a fuss! It seems only 99% of their 'customer service' employees get a power trip out of being contract nazis.

I've noticed Verizon has some weird dead spots (zones) within Vegas / Henderson. Every time I'm driving South on 95 my phone cuts out between lake mead and college drive exits. Also Near Railroad pass on the way to boulder city it cuts also. I didn't have this problem with Sprint.

New cell and can not use it at home... ..wow so happy to be in a two year contract NOT!
