The Verizon iPhone 4 has the best call quality and reception in Mill Creek area compared to my previous 4 Verizon phones. The Verizon Map shows no 3G coverage here but we have always had 3G since I have used LG enV2 and LG enV3 (still in service on different account). I have never dropped a call in the house with Verizon, unlike owners of AT&T iPhones who have tried to use their phones here. I use Verizon as my long distance line (second line in the house), via Bluetooth Dock. Some of my weekend conversations last over two hours of clear reception. Best phone I have ever owned. Kudos to Apple!

Switched to LG enV2 from LG VX5300 (with had an external antenna). I get 4 out of 4 bars at the corner of Mill Creek and Country Club, but in my driveway (1 / 2 mile away) I get 1 bar or "NO Service". My VX5300 had two bars under the same circumstance. I'm about ready to switch back to my VX5300, just for the reliability. In my office (I have the phone on a desktop docking station) I see signal strength deviate from 3 Bars to "No Service" and I cannot move throughout the house with the phone like I could with LG VX5300 (external antenna makes a huge difference). I switched my wife back from enV2 to her Samsung SCH-a870, because of poor reception. We need a tower near Diamond Peak because I drop calls on SKI WAY heading down from the parking lot, this would help us as well. We always have plenty of EVDO signal, so go figure. Most of Incline has good coverage but we must have something interfering with the line of site to our tower (wherever it is). We can't hit the new tower on Golpher's Pass from here, so I'm having a hard time convincing neighbors of the benefits of Verizon over AT&T and Sprint (AT&T seems to be used by majority residents... .I think its due to better service in early 2000 before Cingular bought out AT&T). I like the enV2, but getting a call through is my first and foremost mission. In this day and age, we should have better coverage since majority of phones have put the antenna inside.

I don't know what those poor Verizion receptions are in here. We've been using for 3 years and have excellent reception in most places. From Tahoe City to Incline. There are only a few dead spots where trillion ton mountains block the signal. We can even get reception on the magnum 6 pack lift at Mt. Rose! Get it from the top of Squaw Valley and other places you wouldn't expect. Lose it on Crystal Bay Hill where the mountain shadows the reception. But we get it where people on other systems fail.

I didn't have any service really. Droped calls or no signal at all. Only time, I was able to pick up some service was at Raleys. Other than that, nada.
