I live in Stallion Mountain. I first had a Blackberry and it dropped calls All The Time! ATT said I needed to get a newer phone ( my Blackberry was in perfect condition, however.). So I bought thus HTC Droid type phone and even though its a fun phone, I get only ONE bar in my house! I had the same crappy reception when I lived over on the corner of Green Valley and Sunset. ATT sucks in a big way. I want to take a sledge hammer to my phone.

I've been a customer of AT&T for several years but have recently been experiencing multiple dropped calls per day (50%+). Purchased the AT&T suggested solution device (Micro Cell) which resulted in zero improvement. Submitted numerous complaints through costumer service yet nothing has been done other than acknowledging the reports I've submitted. I'm a customer with a family plan with 3 lines paying them nearly $200.00 a month. They don't seem to care about their customers even at that level. We should push for registration that protects the consumer to the extent that if you only receive 50% of the service you signed up for, you should only be bill for that percentage of service that you receive. They know what that is already. Let's unite.

I notice other people have posted the same thing. Got decent reception up until about the beginning of July 2010. Went to AT&T store to complain. Their only solution was to buy a new phone and lock in another 2 year contract. I felt pretty scammed. Can AT&T really charge people or lock them into a contract but not provide a service? Sounds like a scam or fraud to me.

had AT&T and 1st generation iphone for a a few years. almost NEVER worked in my home and often not even outside my home. I grew tired of standing in the 110 degree garage to make a phone call. in most other parts of vegas AT&T was simply "ok" - the edge network blows. my friend has a 3g iphone and gets better voice coverage for some reason. AT&T was too pricey - I am leaving them for good. bye

I have had ATT for years with Good to Decent service. Since the beginning of july 2010, Something has happened to a tower near my home at DI and Ft Apache. I can barely understand what people are saying and they can barely understand me. I actually now get in my car and drive down the street 1-2 miles to make somewhat important calls anymore. ATT customer service states there is a degraded tower at Pioneer and Desert Inn with no for sure date to fix it. ATT customer service could hardly understand me and credited my account for 2 months. Thanks, thats great. I still cant comunicate successfully anywhere near my house. Go Figure, Is it worth it. Im switching service immediately.

-113dBm standing OUTSIDE here, absolutely horrible - don't try to make calls inside. Barely any reception at Bermuda and Silverado ranch either where T-Mobile is registering -60dBm! However there is one spot where reception is good and that's at my home in Southern Highlands where T-Mo is marginal at best. Otherwise T-Mobile has far more coverage in southern Las Vegas and probably in other parts.

Unlike some places I have gone or lived in Las Vegas, the reception in the house actually works with seldom a dropped call. Unfortunate that ATT does not work in the rampart casino. Sprint seems to be the only carrier that works in the bowels of the casino. Otherwise I like ATT. Resonable coverage and does not pull features from the phones like most of the other carriers (except the iPhone - BOO ATT)

Reception bars are a complete lie.. AT&T has major problem with GSM network. Most locations in valley have the problem that signal strength is 5 bars with intermittent (about every 1-2 minutes) the strength goes to 0. Drops call when this happens. It is ironic that they have the nerve to advertise the fewest dropped calls.. Ran into the same experience in 84032 zip (Northern Utah). However, Manhatten coverage seems to be good. For Vegas, do yourself a favor and go with T-Mobile or Verizon

We have tried Sprint, Verizon, Nextel, and now Cingular here at the base of Frenchman Mountain... they all suck. My theory is that the mountain disrupts the signals, since there are at least 5 line of sight towers in the area. Cingular / AT&T seems to be the least of the 4 evils... they are just better at keeping a death grip on the call, so you end up with lots of dead air for periods, instead of outright hangups. If you look at your reception, it will bounce from 5 bars to 1 to 2 back to 5 back to 2 all day long... I'm not sure if a repeater would even help.

Came from Texas with Sprint. They let me out of my contract (6 months in) because they could not make it work. Switched to Cingular. It worked a little better for about a month then went to hell and is pretty much useless. So far 8 of my friends have gotten AT&T to allow them to cancel without termination fees. Apparently at least Sprint and AT&T know their service in Las Vegas is very spotted. Note: I dealt with both companies tech support and went thru their process to get my area (residence) checkout. Once they confirm it is bad they will drop you termination fee and allow you to switch

Calls are filled with static, and I find myself asking people to repeat themselves four or five times in a ten minute call. Sometimes I get a "no service" message, sometimes I see bars but when I try to call out, I get dead air. It's just as bad in downtown, too.

To actually use the phone I need to drive at least one mile away from my home and come down from Sunrise Mtn. In town I usually have 4 or 5 bars and can make long distance calls, usually with no problems. All in all, I don't like the service due to the fact that my phone use is limited to only those times I'm away from my home.

Since the merger with AT&T and a rollout of a new network they are working on, when they moved us from their legacy system to the 'New and Improved' system, it got worse. Dropped calls, calls rolling right into voice mail, minimal to no reception - just didn't make sense. Had them switch us back to the legacy system and it works pretty good - not great, but better then average. All carriers need to figure out how to make this work - only if the FCC wouldn't stop the technology out there from reaching the US, maybe we could have Great Service with any or all of the carriers...

I live in a nearby apt complex, and I cannot get more than 2 bars when on the property (other phone models displayed similar problems, so it's not the phone model). Once I am out on the street the reception is 5 bars, but the loss of reception at home is extremely frustrating. However, if I am able to find a truly dead zone in the apt I can get the AT&T network which offers full bar coverage, but no way to force the phone to use that network. I drive all over the valley, and when on the road there are very few places where signal will cut out or drop a call; usually out in the boonies so it's not unexpected. One other factor is if you are trying to use a phone in a supermarket parking lot. For some reason there is an increbible amount of interference (very similar to what I find at home) so pulling out of the parking lot is a must to ensure good reception.

4 months into the service and three hospital visits later I find myself wanting to run from Cingular. Ever since I went with Cingular I have had the worst service ever. This resulted into 1 major heart attack due to hypertension (High blood pressure). The second time my phone service dropped a call during a important business call. My stomach ulcer started to bleed profusely and I landed in the ER rom again. Ironically, Cingular has offered to pay for some of the medical expenses inccured since my start of the service. That must mean they know about the dangerous health effects of the service they offer. So at this point I decided to give them another chance. I was in my car on I-15 and Flamingo and I was on the phone with my divorce lawyer and we were going over the payouts for my divorce. Then the phone dropped the call. The lawyer thought I hung up on him because I didnt like the deal. Now my ex-wife has the kids, the house, the car and the dog. I'm now suffering from acute depression and now have been admitted to St. Judes Mental Health Division of Psychiatrics and Illness. THANKS CINGULAR!
