Reception in and around my home and work is generally perfect. Much better than the reception I had when I was with Sprint PCS.

I frequently get dropped calls anytime I use my cell at home with others who are on a land line. However, reception is otherwise perfect in the downtown area, except during rush hour when everyone's using their cell phones.

Cingular is horrible. All of my calls go straight to voice mail. It can take up to 3 days to receive my messages. The only way I can make a phone call is if I turn my phone off and back on. The store just wants to sell more phones. The 800-line has replaced my phone twice, all have had the same issues. They can not figure out why this happens and Cingular refuses to let me out of my contract with out charging me $150. I am paying for a phone with no service, if anyone knows of an attorney who handles breech of contract, I'd love to hear from them.

You would have thought with two carriers (AT&T and Cingular) merging it would have provided better coverage. It appears they just bought more of the same coverage. No benefit seen here. Ego, not customer satisfaction played a big part in this merger. Fix it or lose customers.

4 months into the service and three hospital visits later I find myself wanting to run from Cingular. Ever since I went with Cingular I have had the worst service ever. This resulted into 1 major heart attack due to hypertension (High blood pressure). The second time my phone service dropped a call during a important business call. My stomach ulcer started to bleed profusely and I landed in the ER rom again. Ironically, Cingular has offered to pay for some of the medical expenses inccured since my start of the service. That must mean they know about the dangerous health effects of the service they offer. So at this point I decided to give them another chance. I was in my car on I-15 and Flamingo and I was on the phone with my divorce lawyer and we were going over the payouts for my divorce. Then the phone dropped the call. The lawyer thought I hung up on him because I didnt like the deal. Now my ex-wife has the kids, the house, the car and the dog. I'm now suffering from acute depression and now have been admitted to St. Judes Mental Health Division of Psychiatrics and Illness. THANKS CINGULAR!

Undeniable coverage copmared to Cingular and sprint. I switched from Sprint to Cingular last year and it was good until the merger happened then when I went to the Cingular store close to my home and not only was the service bad so was the sales associates. So I walked around the building and found a Verizon store located in the same building and said what the heck ported my numbers over and UNBELIEvable coverage. Not a drop call to this day and I am going on 5 months strong thank you Verizon and thank you to the salesperson at the store very knowledgable might I add.

Some parts of town are clean but I drop 4 or 5 calls a day in the south west. The tech at Sprint told me both towers in my area are maxed and there is no plan for a new tower in the area. I think the only way to fix the problem is to have massive consumer input.
