I live in residential Laughlin. I have the Sprint unlimited everything plan for $79 plus tax per month. Overall service is poor. Texting is good. Data is 50 / 50 at best. Actual phone calling is terrible. Sprint recently changed from 3G to 4G LTE and the service got worse. I wish someone would write a positive review of another carrier so I would know who to switch to. MikeWas this review helpful to you?
Here's the REAL problem with Laughlin. They're jamming signals so they can sell you internet through AT&T for $10 a day. How they do this legally, no one knows. However, the signal is intentionally jammed for this reason. River Palms should have thought about lying to their guests. Leave it to a ton of employees who are about to lose their jobs to be honest about what is really happening. Was this review helpful to you?
The reception is between very poor and none at Harrahs. They charge $10.95 / 24 hours for their Internet and $1.50 per local phone call. Even if they give us another "free trip" I won't go or I'll take my car so I can go down to the flats where itWas this review helpful to you?
Forgot about data service, let alone voice being very unreliable. Verizon's site shows coverage should be good for this area "BS"..Still haven't heard of one company that has great service in the Laughlin / Bullhead area. Was this review helpful to you?
i love the service with cricket. I get it out of vegas. I have reception all over the valley here in laughlin / bullhead city. even when other phone companies had down service for a week I still had service. I even have internet on my phone all the way between vegas and laughlin with no dead zonesWas this review helpful to you?
Verizon users in Laughlin / Bullhead here is the problem with Verizon Cellular Service. The issue is the Arizona side (Bullhead) coverage is provided by Mohave Wireless which is a good company, but a seperate company that contracts with Verizon for coverage. Thus, your phone can switch back and forth from the Nevada side coverage (Verizon), and the Arizona side coverage (Mohave Wireless). So, oftentimes, the network will not be able to locate your phone and deliver email and text. So, if you are trying to send and receive messages, I would suggest you make sure you are not in Extended Area Mode and thus you will be in the Verizon Network (Home). The best way I have found is to be by Casino Dr.and you will find your phone works better... Good Luck, with your phone and gambling... .lolWas this review helpful to you?
Poor to no reception what so ever! From one casino to another, I texted my boys at least 20 times to make sure they're ok with no response. They NEVER received any messages. The next morning while driving in Bullhead, the text messages started coming in! Rediculous! Verizon sucks and it's the most expensive carrier. I pay for 4 phones and I'm sick and tired of it. I'm moving on to a prepaid phone. Was this review helpful to you?
Seems that reliability is sliding down hill. My signal come and goes, internet same situation. weekends really suck! For 90. A month this is what I get? Almost as bad as Verizon. Was this review helpful to you?
7 / 15 / 2012 I vacation in Laughlin, NV Verizon is ok to make an outgoing call. Forget about voice mail reliability you may get it instantly or 3 or 4 hours later. In hotels I have called my wife's cell with her setting next to me and phone never rang at all. It went to voice mail and she got the mail 5 hrs. later after we got home which is approx. 1500 yrda from where we were. All you have read about the towers is mostly true. I know Sprint customers and T-Mobile customer always get my call instantly and I sometimes get their calls. This year I will get a couple throw away phones that fit the local area and use them while there. Trust me Verizon is absolutely NO HELP when you call them. So moral of story don't depend on receiving calls if you expect emergency time info. God forbid if you go to what they call the lake. There is NO cell service for any carries cell phones same is true for areas in Golden Valley go 5 miles off the road and no service for anyone. Good Luck all.Was this review helpful to you?
