Inconsistant reception. Sometimes I am on extended network or analog instead of the digital Verizon network. When this happens I have to enter an area code to dial a local number (extended network) or if I'm not careful, pay roaming charges because of the analog. When I first got the phone it used to come on with the Cingular screen and if I tryed to place a call I would get a message from Cingular telling me I wasn't recognized on the system. After a few months of such frustration and numerous calls to Verizon the Cingular screen thing has deminished to just an occassional blink. I have always had many missed calls that I never get notified of and voice messages that are hours and sometimes a day late. Calls to Verizon to address these problems have never fixed them. I'm switching to Cingular as some as my contract ends since my co-works have had none of these problems with them.
