AT&T just doesn't work in shopping centers around pyramid and Los Altos. I frequent Genghis Grill and almost always have no data access. One in a while, if I hold the phone over my head and towards the window, I might get an extremely slow data connection. Voice is a little better, but not much. It seems the whole area is bad. I've reported this a number of times to AT&T since their coverage map says there should be a good signal, but nothing has changed in two years.

I just switched to Verizon Wireless this morning from AT&T. I am already loving Verizon. I get great service all over the place!

I had AT&T, and went tp Sprint for the TP2. I'm taking it back and getting the Verizon verison. Sprint can't pick up in here!

Had Sprint, AT&T, and T-Mobile and couldn't get service in my house. Verizon works great!

Inconsistant reception. Sometimes I am on extended network or analog instead of the digital Verizon network. When this happens I have to enter an area code to dial a local number (extended network) or if I'm not careful, pay roaming charges because of the analog. When I first got the phone it used to come on with the Cingular screen and if I tryed to place a call I would get a message from Cingular telling me I wasn't recognized on the system. After a few months of such frustration and numerous calls to Verizon the Cingular screen thing has deminished to just an occassional blink. I have always had many missed calls that I never get notified of and voice messages that are hours and sometimes a day late. Calls to Verizon to address these problems have never fixed them. I'm switching to Cingular as some as my contract ends since my co-works have had none of these problems with them.

Coverage is average out side - as soon as you walk indoors, it drops to zip

I actually live in Desert Highlands and get 0-1 bars. Lousy connection and would probably be dead if I needed it in an emergency. I think what all the major cell phone companies need to do is come up with a meter that can be taken with you to all the areas you would use your phone in so you can test the signal strength. Though I have also heard that it depends on the phone you have also. Does anyone know which cell service is best for the Goodwin Los Altos area?

Signal is low inside the house, nonexistent outside. Drifts and we lose calls constantly

Can Barely get signal in or out, signal drifts constantly.

There are two bars outside of the school but no service inside. The whole wingfield area could use a service boost.
