I live right by the Promenade, I get one or two bars on Montague Terrace, if I'm standing in just the right place outside my front door, but inside my apartment building I get nothing. I have used this phone and another, so I dont' think it has anything to do with the phone model, it's just crappy reception. Both of my phones begin to work once I start walking up Montague St.towards the courthouse.

Used to be good now instead of raising the bar its gotten to be really bad when inside any buildings I never get any calls calls go straight to voicemail. Oh well only a few months left on the contract. If they can't get the whole merger bussiness done I'm on to verizon.

The reception is not poor but you get about 3 out of the four bars so it keeps the call connected.

The reception in this area is excellent coverage. 5 bars of signal strength and no drop call's.

Earlier in the year I had little to no reception. Now I get pretty good reception even in my apartment.

I have excellent service everywhere except inside my apartment where my calls are constantly dropped.

TMobile was a disaster. Switched to Cingular and everything is great.

The reception is excellent and consitent. Even where I work which is three floors undeground in NYC, I get reception and I am able to receive and make calls. My previous carrier, Sprint, was the worse carrier I ever had. I could not get a signal within a 3 blcok radius from my house. All my neighbors had the same problem and they switch to Verizon. Now we are a happy Verizon community.

I have had it with Sprint! The service is absolutely awful not only in my apt, but everywhere in the neighborhood. If I could only switch, I would in a sec, but those a**holes have me on a contract until 2007. humf.

T-Mobile has poor service in this area and it seems to improve only if you get an external antenna for your phone.

no problems, VZW is pretty I never get dropped calls like I did with ATT / Cingular

The phone is useless indoors (0 or 1 bar), this location is between two T-Mobile towers. Switching to Cingular since I get 5 bars inside the apt.

Highly variable - at the back of my apartment, it is often at 5 but goes down to 0 regularly.

phone does not get reception

The reception is absolutley horrible to say the very least. In my apartment, the calls continuously drop even when sitting stationary. If they don't drop then there is so much static that the caller is inaudible. When traveling on the train, I lose service between the New Utrecht and Ft. Hamilton Parkway; as well as 20th Avenue. Needless to say I think it is time that I change wireless providers.

Reception is spotty but usually OK on 1st floor and outside but nonexistent on the garden floor of my brownstone. I can sometimes get calls if the phone is on the windowsill, otherwise, no bars whatsoever.

I consistently have good reception however this means nothing. My phone cuts out every 10 minutes no matter who I'm on the phone with. I've tried this with 3 different phones and a new SIM card. The tower near me is likely faulty.

Very poor reception outside. Inside my office NO SERVICE all the time. Switch to Verizon with LG-VX8000 At least 3 bars all the time. Nextel sucks!

I have to stand literally RIGHT BY the window to get one bar, if lucky. If not, no bars, but I can still talk. Calls drop if I move an inch, or sometimes if I don't. I don't have a landline, what to do???

Bar ratings are stupid, don't know why this site would want that since manufacturers are all relative -side note. I used to get perfection reception indoors and its gotten poor in the last few months. Don't why but its gone from very good to average / bad. No its not the phone. Happens with all my crappy CF62T phones (due to serious design flaws, they've been replaced on an ongoing basis - stay away) As for reception the same is true around work (10036) used to be great and in the last few months its just gotten worse with the dropped calls or cannot connect.
