Can't make a call at all from Flushing Ave. all the way up the hill until I get home at Fulton. Then I've spent hours today trying to connect to a couple of critical calls from inside my own apartment. Sheesh. And it wasn't that long ago when a land line was expected to be as clear and reliable as speaking face to face. Why is a cell phone system better again?!?

Sure AT&T has problems, but its no where near as bad as T-Mobile, that has to be the worst tri-state area carrier, bar none.

Bed Stuy coverage with AT&T does not have me covered. Inside the brownstone I just moved into i've never seen more than 4 bars, which is rare, it usually hovers at 1 or 2, and have given up trying to find a single sweet spot indoors from which to make calls. 4 bars guarantees i'll hear the phone ring but 3 weeks into my new location and the minority of calls that have connected, most of which were one-way (callers could not hear my voice), all dropped within 2 minutes. SMS's have a 50% chance of sounding the alert when they come in. Outside on the street coverage is passable, I can make calls in a bind with the cell, but i'm not about to conduct my home business from the stoop in winter. Since other providers in the area, save _maybe_ Verizon which I won't align myself with on general principles, don't appear to offer anything better, i'm not going to take the gamble on switching providers--especially knowing the battle i'm in for to get out of my current contact. Best I can do is get on a cheaper plan and go back to having two numbers, home and cell. Lovely.

I get reception almost everywhere, but my calls are getting dropped more and more and my data connection seems slower than ever, probably due to all the new iphones on the network. very frustrating. I want to switch carriers, but don't know which is best for general nyc coverage.

Completely terrible... I can rarely stay on the phone for more than two minutes without a call being dropped, inside or outside. Very inconvenient when trying to schedule appointments, etc. There are no tall buildings around here. I will definitely not choose Verizon again.

AT&T is the worst! Constant dropped calls, and network busy when you try to call out. Plus terrible customer service. They try to act like there's nothing you can do about it and after 2 hours and 6 dropped calls to their customer service they would only refund me 1 month. I am not getting service worth $90 a month. It should be illegal for them to charge that much with no responsibility for their services

Like that Pizza place on the corner? 'Dont go there' if you're expecting a call during the time it takes you to inhale that slice. AT&T blows in that area and its BEEN that way for quite some time..

I get almost no reception in my 4th floor apartment. I can sometimes get 3 to 4 bars at certain spots by certain windows facing north. My girlfriend gets 5 bars consistently with her Verizon phone. Anecdotal evidence indicates that Verizon rules the Heights. AT&T seems to be a fringe player here. From Henry St. to Court St. on Montague St. seems to be the best spot for AT&T reception. But; they have poor reception in the AT&T store on Montague Street! The attendant had to go out the door to get enough reception to activate my phone! Honestly, I don't know how Verizon manages to do so well in Brooklyn Heights, and AT&T seems to do so badly, but sometimes I wonder if we aren't being cooked from the inside by Verizon. I have friends here who get steady (but phase-y) reception in their basement apartments through Verizon!

I just moved to this location and the reception is almost non existent throughout the apartment.I am considering changing carriers even though it will cost me for breaking my contract.I see no other option. T-Mobile has a lot of work to do.Great rates but bad connections
