Verizon generally provides great reception. However, the basic LG phone is garbage. I absolutely have no reception on 20th Ave. between 80th and 81st streets, especially when I come inside stores there.

This area "Brooklyn Heights Promenade" sucks for reception as a whole. The Clark St.intersection tho has no reception whatsoever..

To be honest the rating should be higher because I am in a Basement Apartment with a window and the signal is pretty Good. The only problem is the price off the plan I am on, I was thinging about going Nextel, not Sprint all my friends have trouble with the Sprint service but after reading the review on the Nextel phones close to this location I am honestly nervious, but then again I hate there plans but there service is good.

Poor reception outside the house and no reception inside at all. It seems as though they have been taking towers away from the area rather than adding.

Cingular gives you a lot of things in Brooklyn around all L train stops area: lost calls, dropped calls, no signals. The thing is you are paying for it.

I got my phone with Sprint last November 9th and so far I get pretty good service inside as long I'm near a window. Outside it's great. My only gripe with Sprint is how when you buy a ringtone it expires in 90 days and how your basically renting a ringtone or game from Sprint in order to have it on your phone. I'm thinking about switching to Verizon or Cingular next year.

I would say perfect reception, except I get dropped calls in my building every now and then. But I was surprised by the quality of reception in the Brooklyn Law School library basement.

great service up until 4 weeks ago. now I cannot dial out, usually phone reads emergency service only.i want out of my contract!

95 percent of all calls I make or receive get dropped. There are times where I have no service in my house. If it wasn't for the contract, i'd drop nextel. I give them 4 thumbs down!

nextel(Sprint) is truely the best cell service for NYC. I've had Verizon wireless and they were truely horrible... .I had to leave them due to the fact I felt like I was paying for false advertisment

T-Mobile is the worst cell phone service for Park Slope. I get no reception on Garfield between the park and 7th Ave (at least) and no reception on 7th Ave. between Union and 7th St. at least. T-Mobile is the worst and does nothing to rectify the situaiton. If you live in the North Slope - Stay away from T-Mobile. Friend has Cingular and it works great, as does VErizon ans Sprint is spotty but better than t-mobile

Haven't had any reception on this street for 2 weeks. Called T-Mobile and they keep telling me they are wooking on it. Had good reception at the same location for 4 years previously.

Even though I have reported poor service for the Last 10 years service continues to be poor at best. Can you hear me now.

T-Mobile is useless in park slope. I live in a garden floor apartment and can count on my phone NOT working 95% of the time. The phone is not the problem as I've put a Cingular SIM card in this phone and it works fine. So combine that with T-Mobile's crappy customer service (I've now been with them so long they've TAKEN AWAY my loyalty minutes) and I'm switching, probably to cingular.

service improves within 10 blocks in either direction on 5th Ave.

Strong reception in my building and surrounding areas (3rd - 5th Avenues). I get no signal in the Subway what so ever. I've never really experienced a bad signal with this phone / service.
