The reception for Verizon did not improve after the Tower was activated at the Croton Harmon Station... .the poor service is unacceptable and I would like to know the timetable that Verizon plans to correct the situation

I have Verizon and have never had any trouble with reception in the Croton area. I'm not sure why all the others do. The only complaints I usually hear about service hear is for AT&T.

AT&T and the iPhone get spotty coverage in Croton On Hudson. Outside the village the signal is two bars. In the village there is a major dead zone around Grand (129) and Main St.for several blocks around. Sprint did not have a dead zone. AT&T, Verizon, and most GSM phones will. As of Aug 1 2009 a new tower was errected at the Train Station and several providers are going to be serviced. Verizon is not one of the early ones, but AT&T and some others are. Maby in several months service will be better. But for now, Croton is a Dead Zone.

I moved from Carmel, NY to Croton-on-Hudson and what a shift in reception. I would be lucky to have 2 bars in the village, NYSC, shoprite, or MTA station. It's terrible, I can't drive from point A to point B without dropping my calls. Very disappointed.

Reception is horrible in the village of Croton. I have a new phone, and after trouble shooting, Verizon said that Croton on Hudson is a "weak coverage" area. New towers will be built but there is no estimate as to when.

1 or 2 bars if walking around, there is a talk of putting up cell antennas in Croton. Hope it happens soon.

Worse than useless in the village of Croton. Will get occasional reception when I drive around the block, but very intermittent. When I drive on 9A from Briarcliffe to Croton, reception cuts off enroute. On MetroNorth into NYC reception goes on and off.

Virtually every call is lost within a few seconds of it's begining. Same for my wife's Samsung phone. As bad as Verizon is, the rest are no better as far as I know. That's no excuse for what amounts to fraud, as Verizon should tell people honestly that they will provide no useful and usable coverage in the area for the monthly fee. So: "Can you hear me now?" NO!
