When I first had Cingular around October 2003 the reception wasn't that good in my area especially along with Roosevelt Ave. In Fall 2005 the network got improved that I could have full reception anywhere in the house basement. After Cingular merged with AT&T the network got worse than ever. Now I have to keep at least 6 feet away from my house to get full reception. Shame on you cingular.

I have been using Cingular for almost a year, never could complete a call at home or at work (34th and 6th Ave), they were dropped all the time. Cingular said, that it is because of my phone itself is not from Cingular. However suddenly when my contract is ending by this month, it started getting signal from yesterday. I suspected there are a lot of tricks behind this company, and they are not honest with their custmoers at all. I am using the same phone, if it has problems, why now it is working. I really hate this company during this whole year. They have spent money for their advertisements, which is cheating (as far as my understanding). not building the towers... It really sucks everywhere.

I just recently signed up with Cingular, it drops my calls constantly, especially on nights and weekends, the reception is terrible, today (Monday) I wasn't able to connect with incoming or outgoing calls at all for few hours! I am terribly disappointed with this service, but the cellular phone is great. I heard Verizon Wireless works pretty well around this area.

The service is really bad inside buildings and it isn't that great when i walk out my house either. Compared to the other service around it is the same but slightly better. I called up each company and they say that there are no Telaco towers in our area and they said theres nothing that could be done. What can they be thinking? How can all the other areas around us have better service than us when so much people live in this area. These companies sure know how to do business.

Even though T-Mobile has the best reception in this area is isn't good all around. So I still would recommend T-Mobile if you like using the phone a lot in this area.

I switch between phones (GSM) and both have no signal in my apartment. My wife has T-Moblie and she gets signal everywhere. But then again T-mobile use to be voicestream which used to be Omni-point. Which would explain why coverage is everywhere.
