Always have 4-5 bars in the area around Rochester, but experience dropped calls almost every day. I can't be on the phone for more that 15 minutes without it dropping. Frequent one way audio and sometimes incoming calls go right to voice mail instead of ringing my phone. If you travel outside of Rochester its even worse, no 3G coverage, even along the thruway. I go camping alot and where I have 5 bars with Verizon I get nothing with AT&T. Jumping back to Verizon as soon as possible. iPhone is nice, but AT&T is the worse cell phone an customer service I have ever had in the past 12 years... ..

Poor reception so many places, in Fport and Penfield. This is a list of places where I don't bother trying anymore. YMCA Penfield, Dudley / Northside school, Thomas Creek Ice, Village Sports,Delta Sonic and Dance studio in Panorama. The kick in the teeth this is pretty much everyplace I go and wait. I need to log onto public Wifi everywhere to utilize device. 6 long months left on contract. The justice department is concerned merger will eliminate competition, I think poor cell service will eliminate T-Mobile if they end up standing alone.

We have a T-Mobil antenna in the building on Perinton Pkwy, but as soon as you leave in either direction it starts to go down quick. There are no major cell phone providers with towers on the east part of Fairport which is hard to believe since this is an industrial park. Cingular (AT&T) seems to get the best in the local area of any of the major carriers.

I have had Sprint Since 2005 and recently switched over to T-Mobile. During the time I was with Sprint, I got no reception everytime I went to the store. I'd get Digital Roaming and when I made a call it didn't go threw, so I called customer service and they said it was my phone. I ended up getting a Treo 650 by Palm and still receive the same problems. Poor reception and voice quality. I decided to switch over to T-Mobile for better coverage and plans. When I goto a store I can get signal and not roam. Before I switched over, I was comparing my reception with Sprint to our corp. trainer who has T-Mobile, he had 4 bars and my phone had nothing and was going into Digital Roaming - even though I was in a non roaming location. T-Mobile has the best GSM Network / plans / customer service and I would'nt trade it for CDMA, Iden or any other GSM provider. Have 3 lines with T-Mobile on my Fav's for family 700 min plan, unlimited web on all lines and 400 messages on 2 lines - all for $ 107.93 / month before tax's.

Overall not bad... only averaging about 2 bars though. Friends with AT&T get better reception. Random places in my school are dead zones. Calls drop sometimes. I've noticed this across 2 different Verizon phones now.

I’ve had Verizon for about a year now. Smartest move I’ve ever made. I switched from Cingular after several maddening calls to customer service. Their customer service was absolutely horrible. I recently had an issue with my bill and called Verizon and they fixed my problem on the spot. I can appreciate a company that will treat me like a person not a number. I now know what it is like to be a valued customer!
