Amazing. Had Verizon for 8 yrs and switched to sprint. Sprint has awesome service here and has no complaint everywhere in ny city area. 3g speed is about.6mbs download and.4 to.8mbs upload. 4g gets 5to 8 mbs download and 1.1mbs upload. You can't go wrong with sprint. No dropped calls, has full bar where ever I go. I work in flushing, little neck and gvoes out to city and astoria often. No issues for 4g except in little neck. I am typing this with my cell phone!:-)

Pretty good reception all around - definitely fewer dropped calls than when I was with Sprint. Could just be because my Sprint phone sucked - A460 or something like that. My only complaint is that when I'm inside my apartment, sometimes the signal is just a teensy bit scratchy. I don't think this is the carrier's fault though. I think if I replaced the wire meshing in my windows with a different material it'd help a lot. Or it could be a little interference from my wireless network.

I get no service a lot. Sometimes I get 'roaming' inside my own home (Sprint charged me for the roaming. Told me it was a legitimate charge). Signal is good sometimes but I think any change in weather affects the reception. I even considered just paying them the early termination fee to discontinue their service - that's how much I hated them. Hope this helps.

I am an old AT&T customer which was acquired by Cingular. Yes, I have an old system and old phone, and the reception sucks. I don't know is it because they are no longer spending money into fixing the towers for the old system or my phone is bad, but it sucks to use it. I get drop calls, I can't get reception on the street sometimes. It is horrible. The only reason I have stayed this far with the company is that when I wanted to get out of the company AT&T offered me a sweet deal of starting nights at 7 pm, giving me 1100 minutes plus nights and weekends unlimited. with all the problems I am having it is not even worth keeping this deal because I bearly benefit from the service. I think I'd just get either Cingular gsm or go to Verizon and be done with it.

Dropped calls... called Customer Service... will have the near-by towers checked... after 6 months, reception still stinks. Had my phone replaced, still reception sucks. I am going to switch to Verizon in Oct 2005 when my contract ends.

Reception is strong most of the time - Cingular is very reliable in many Queens and Brooklyn neighborhoods - I get 4-5 bars. There are certain dead zones though... in the Jackson Hts. area e.g. But having had all major services like ATT, Sprint PCS, T-Mobile (with the exception of Verizon), Cingular is the best hands down in Flushing.

The reception is great I can not complain. Ive heard many consumer have alot of problems with other companies. The only thing I can say about Sprint is that they have a horrible customer service. They are disloyal and honestly it seems like they all have a 5th grade level of education. There has been 2 instances that I have tried out a service with Sprint for example voice command and was promised that it would be free for two months, anyhow, when I called to cancel this free service they billed me for the following month and had no record of me ever calling and cancelling this service. Meanwhile I knew who I spoke to and the date, this was done twice to me. On the other hand there service is great. Just becareful because they misinform there customers and are very disloyal.

Verizon service is the best here. More reliable than Sprint, T-Mobile, Cingular and Nextel. I usually always stay steady at 4 bars but if i'm deep in a basement I get 3 bars but the calls are great none the less, even in basements! Verizon is very user-friendly and simple service also.
