The worst carrier ever, dont use it here.

If you're out on the streets, reception is relatively better than in the house. In the house, I can hardly make or receive phone calls. Calls drop during conversation. I notified Verizon Wireless several times but apparently they are not doing anything about it.

I've had Verizon service since well before they changed their name. The reception is clear except for a blind spot around the East Shore Rd.Car Wash. There used to be a blind spot on the train between Great Neck and Little Neck but that seems to have cleared up recently. When the office moved from Manhattan to Forest Hills I switched to driving and it works consistently to and from work. People on other services go into the hallway to shout on their cell phones and I have no problem just talking into mine. There were a few blind spots in Manhattan; but these were blind spots for all services near as I can tell.

I have a Cingular (used to be AT&T) and a Nextel and the service driving North down Lakeville Rd. is horrible! I literally have to stand on the roof of a house to get any kind of service. Put some towers up in Great Neck!

Very poor reception with Cingular and previously with Sprint. I live near the water in Kings Point and reception is spotty at best and calls get cut off quite frequently.

Reception is unacceptable. It was erratic before Cingular toookover At&T. Now it's completely unpredictable. I paid the $180 termination fee (goes down $20 per month of contract) to get away from cingular. Customer service was deplorable. When I called to cancel they did so without asking why. They simply do not care. I cannot impress enough upon you not to even consider Cingular.

No reception at all, I should have been warned by the person who sold the service to me.

Difficult to get Cingular reception around Great Neck. If i do, it will cut out after a couple seconds if you can even understand your caller to begin with.
