Low bars on all four of our different phones. Signal slightly better outside and on 2nd floor. Verizon says spend $200 and get a booster.

A Treo 650 gets poor reception where an LG 4500 gets about 4-5 bars.

Never had a problem with reception throughout rochester. Even in duranc eastman park, where T-Mobile would not get coverage, I have a few bars. also, to make a quick note, when Verizon updates its towers, all you have to do is dial *228 and push option #2... ..other carriers? they shut down their network for a period of time to update. Try having no phone service at 1am and see how happy you are... .that happened to me with T-Mobile and I was furious. worst of all, the KNEW ahead of time it was going to happen... ... no way that they can send out a notice text message? they are sure quick to send you out one when your balance is due though. Verizon is great, id never switch!

I travel from Rochester to Buffalo and throughout the Upstate Ny area. There is no one close to Verizon for coverage. I just wish they would get competitive with the phone prices and not be so far behind the curve on new technology. Have considered many times switching to others for the "cool" phones but what good does it do if I can't use it half the time?
