It's okay coverage around my place but on certain block you pick up a signal, at time I even think some phones Cingular offers you picks up better signals than others thier attena's arent strong enough. Good service and Decent quality, another plus is that Cingular is the only phone that picks up in my building TMOBILE, NEXTEL, SPRINT dont work in my building as much especially TMOBILE you have to run to the window and I live on the 6th Floor. Those are my two cents.

Dropped calls and bad voice quality. Had trouble hearing people on the other end. Worst customer service no help just keep sending me back to the Verizon technical store. Just waste of time. Going back to T-mobile.

Almost no reception in apartment and a 4 block radius Outside. VERIZON is probably WORST service in Jackson Heights. They don't care about the boroughs. Heard Sprint is good in this area. LG phone is bad. Battery charge runs out fast; one second it shows it is fully charged and the next it's low battery. I yearn to go back to Motorola of try Samsung. If there is not service is there any way to get out of a contract early. Only cellular phones can NOT provide a service and expect to get paid. If you are having bad service in Western Queens contact Verizon... maybe their CEO / president Dennis F. Strigl reads this. Gives rest of Verizon a bad name.

After Cingular acquired AT&T Wireless, the service became worse. Frequent dropped calls and 0-1 bar reception. Very unhappy with overall service on my block and in my building.

Verizon doesnot work good in Jackson Heights. T-Mobile and Nextel seem to be the best around here. I'm curious about Cingular?

The LG and Samsung have no reception in my building or within 50 to 100 yards outside. I had swapped from a Nokia a few months ago to the LG, which was okay until late February when it started dropping most calls. I figured it had to be the phone. 3 phones and 10 wasted hours later, I today switched to the Samsung. With fingers crossed I turned on my phone when I reached my apartment. Entering calling area, leaving calling area, no reception... . Tomorrow I wield my sharpened axe and switch to AT&T or T-Mobile. Yes, they all suck, but some suck more than others depending on where you live. If you live in Jackson Heights and want to rely on your cell phone instead of a land line, then avoid the suppposedly best coverage in NYC. Terrible customer service is an understatement when it comes to Verizon. I believe they are trained in one thing: wasting your time, especially if you have any complaints... . Best of luck to all of you in cell phone hell.
