Switched from T-Mobile (which worked fine in Manhattan) to Verizon when I moved to Queens. T-Mobile did not get reception in my new apartment (and I had decided not to get a land line phone, preferring to use a cell phone only.) Verizon's coverage in the neighborhood and especially throughout my apartment has always worked fine.
