Nextel coverage in the valley is strong, except for the ilion area. weak signal in ilion lately. only problem is when you head north of I-90, about 2 miles north of little falls and herkimer, Nextel has NO reception.

I've had Cingular, my girlfriend has NextTel, and I have VZW now. Out of the 3 services that I have used, VZW has hands down the best reception in my house. Also, I've used it in areas on AMTRAK on my way home from NYC that only VZW customers had reception, Cingular and NextTel didn't. VZW may overcharge and be stingy with Bluetooth, but you can't beat their coverage area.
