Over the past few months to a year Verizon has been going from bad to worse to so bad that the only app my phone is worth now is its alarm! Verizon used to tell me that they are working on a new tower but now they are blaming the zone. When they get good reception they take the credit, when they are worthless they need to take the blame just as well.

Used to be very good, However the last year or so there has been very low reception or no reception at all. Is this considered service !

Used to have excellent Verizon wireless reception for many years. The best service of all carriers. Now it's terrible. Must go outside to talk in all weathers. Texting in the house slow. Same problem with Blackberry Storm. Opened support with Verizon. After test they agreed that there is terrible service here! Problem is that they are in the process of putting up a new cell phone tower that won't be up "until the end of the year". I think the real story is that they took down service from a Spring Valley tower and are trying to get approval to put up a tower on Spook Rock Rd, which to get permission to do so (to override the wishes of the locals) they have to show that there is poor signal in the area. Which they have certainly done by getting rid of the previous excellent transmitter. So, we're all waiting and suffering.

Every single call is cut off. Company says recepton in the area is the best.

I'm accessing Cingular service thru Net10 prepaid. By far the cheapest and best choice I have made in cell service because I'm not stuck in a 2 year plan with mediocre / poor / non-existant service. $15 / month is very nice.

terrible, and Verizon is not interested when I phone them about it. But in discussions with the neighbors, Verizon is the best available.

Verizon really needs to get their act together. 0-1 Bars of coverage along Saddle River Road until Route 59 or Upper Saddle River border.
