Whenever I'm anywhere other than in the dorms, I have great reception, but if I'm anywhere in my dorms, especially in my room, my signal goes from 5 bars to 0 and drops the call. There is no reason to it, I can be sitting in the same place and not move an inch, and it just loses the signal. I actually have better reception in the elevator than anywhere else in the dorms! However, any other place that I've been, Verizon has excellent service. Which is why it's so frustrating not having any in my place of residence!
For the better part of 3 years, I haven't had good reception on 14th St. in the meatpacking district. Everyone I know who has AT&T in this area complains of the same problem.
poor service from T-Mobile vendor at 101 Univ Place..will never buy a T-Mobile product again, thanks to him; never explained bar issue, or possibility of no reception; closed early, closed on Saturday, etc.
Bar goes to ZERO. Failed calls 3 out of 4 attempts for the last couple of months. You figure you'd have perfect reception since you're in direct line of sight of the Empire State Building and I'm sure every carrier has broadcast capability from midtown.
At home on 6th floor I get perfect reception. However, on Columbia campus I often have no reception at all - even outdoors. I have to leave the campus to make or receive phone calls. Will be looking for different provider.
Reception in my house is TERRIBLE. Be very cautious about getting Sprint if you live in this location - near the intersection of 212th and 108th St. I moved here after having been with Sprint for 6 months, and have been unable to talk in my house ever since. I know Verizon has excellent coverage in this location - not sure about others.
