reception is pretty poor, consistently drops my calls. shows good signal strength but drops. in other places, I have to be right by a window or outside to get any bars of service.

Perfect reception unless you're in the basement.

Totally blackout on the street in front of my apartment, much less inside even by the windows which faces the street!

Other than elevators and subway stations, I get great reception all over the city. My roommate has Cingular and can only get reception in 1 corner of our apartment

My reception has generally been good with Cingular throughout the city, though it takes a while to get reception after I get off the train

Below average to average with T-Mobile. I usually have to stand close to a window (facing east) and even then my calls are sometimes dropped. Absolutely no reception on ground floor.

Unacceptable coverage all around Grammercy Park. Rare to get a signal and then luck to get 1 bar.
