I get 5 bars on my Nokia, but celll simply DOES NOT WORK as it is supposed to. And by that, I mean basics phone conversation! Phone works great in CT, and I just realized the ATT issues after I started working in NYC.

I can go from internet connection to "no signal" "emergency calls only" in under a minute. I receive text hours after they are sent. I rarely can receive a call. Usually I get a voicemail alert hours later. For living the largest city in America, the cell phone reception is appalling. And very frustrating.

When going into the BBT from Manhattan to Brooklyn the first 3rd of the tunnel has no reception. Halfway to Brooklyn it jumps to 5 Bars. Same going the other way. I switched from Verizon to AT&T, there is more dropped calls when driving.

Shows good reception, but when in a call, it is impossible to hear the other person, and the calls get cut off.

very poor reception, lots of dropped calls, and many "all circuits busy" messages for me and wife (also on t-mobile). Absolutely frustrating.

Was a Verizon user for over 10 years..had a problem with a phone as soon as I upgraded and Verizon replaced it with a refurbished phone which was worse than my original... long story short Verizon says they are not responsible they do not manuacture the phones CLEARLY their clueless and yes agree with many Penn Station service SUCKS can't get a singal while foreigners are using cell phones from other countries. Switched to Cingular and for past has been AMAZING signals everywhere including Penn Station great officer prices, more important rollover minutes Verizon could care less about it's customers... p.s. customer service and technicians beyond rude and obnoxious all they know is "can you hear me now" dah not for long many friends of mine are having similar issues and are switching to other carriers once their contract expires.

Nearly every call is lost within seconds. Phone shows maximum bars for signal strength, but there seem to be too few circuits to actually handle a call when it comes in or goes out and then the phone searches for and switches to a tower too far away. Result: the call is dropped. Same thing happens to others in this area. "Can you hear me now?"... (silence)...

What the Hell are half of you people talking about. I get Coverage Everywhere with Verizon and I mean Everywhere. You people with Cingular are lying. With Cingular I had nothing around here. Verizon ROCKS. And for you that said "Verizon Spokes-Dork: "Can you hear me now?" Verizon Customer: "Huh?" Verizon Spokes-Dork: "Good." YOU SUCK ---------! Everywhere around here it is "Good"

Cingular works very well in the Cincinnati area, it is definatley the best carrier in the area, or any area for that matter. So if you are cell phone shopping around Cincinnati, Cingular is the way to go.

I cant believe Nextel is still in this business... When I get a call, it drops.. I cant recall getting a call that didnt drop.. and push to talk is getting worse and worse, I guess they are overloading circuits because I get busy all the time.. My friend that just got Cingular service is raving about it.. Freaking 2-year contract..

I should have got a pager. Spotty variable reception. When most calls come in they are lost within ten to twenty seconds. Lousy reception due to overtaxed circuits in this area. The phone will show a good signal (5 bars) until you try to use it. Because the circuits are actually filled to capacity the network then switches you to an antenna further away almost as soon as you are receiving or making call, you get 1 bar or less and the call is lost. *************************************** Verizon Spokes-Dork: "Can you hear me now?" Verizon Customer: "Huh?" Verizon Spokes-Dork: "Good."

Sprint PCS really does suck! I just got my 3rd replacement phone and it doesn't work, I would call Sprint to cancel but I can't, It doesn't hold a charge and I can't even log on to the network to send a text. I would use a can and a string before I spend another dollar with sprint. James

Up until recently, reception and call quality has usually been fine. For the past couple of days, however, I have been experiencing dropped calls (irrespective of the location of the person with whom I'm talking). When I look at the reception meter, the number of bars fluctuates quickly from 2 to 5. Could this all be a function of a failing battery? I've had the same battery for a couple of years.

T-Mobile sucks in this area. I've seen an AT&T GSM phone work here, where mine doesn't.
