I cant believe Nextel is still in this business... When I get a call, it drops.. I cant recall getting a call that didnt drop.. and push to talk is getting worse and worse, I guess they are overloading circuits because I get busy all the time.. My friend that just got Cingular service is raving about it.. Freaking 2-year contract..

I should have got a pager. Spotty variable reception. When most calls come in they are lost within ten to twenty seconds. Lousy reception due to overtaxed circuits in this area. The phone will show a good signal (5 bars) until you try to use it. Because the circuits are actually filled to capacity the network then switches you to an antenna further away almost as soon as you are receiving or making call, you get 1 bar or less and the call is lost. *************************************** Verizon Spokes-Dork: "Can you hear me now?" Decent in apartment. Sitting about 15 feet from window. Sound quality is fair, with occassioinal pops and cracks.

Sprint PCS really does suck! I just got my 3rd replacement phone and it doesn't work, I would call Sprint to cancel but I can't, It doesn't hold a charge and I can't even log on to the network to send a text. I would use a can and a string before I spend another dollar with sprint. James

Up until recently, reception and call quality has usually been fine. For the past couple of days, however, I have been experiencing dropped calls (irrespective of the location of the person with whom I'm talking). When I look at the reception meter, the number of bars fluctuates quickly from 2 to 5. Could this all be a function of a failing battery? I've had the same battery for a couple of years.

T-Mobile sucks in this area. I've seen an AT&T GSM phone work here, where mine doesn't.

Got Verizon in April and the signal was perfect. Worked in some subway stations too. Now, a month later has very intermittant service anywhere near the Empire State Building up to W 40th Street along Fifth. The tell me there is nothing in their system that indicates a signal problem. Can't get a signal at my apartment building on W 35th St anymore. :(

I have no luck with my service in my apt. AT&T won't help me - and I don't know what to do. They suck. I got a Siemens phone yesterday and it won't work in my apt either. So it has to be AT&T.

Reception is poor in this area (at least inside a highrise). In addition reception will drop to 0 dropping calls and returning in the next second.
