Man of course vzw has no reception here. I drop calls and have extremely slow data. 0.2mbps down and 0.09mbps up using speedtest. Seems like all the carriers are having worse service and wanting to charge more.

2 bars to 0 bars indoors. I pray never to receive or have to make a call in this area knowing it will be dropped or have spotty reception. 2g is almost as bad as 3g in this area.

Ever since I switch from T-Mobile which was horrible to say the least. I haven't had anything but stellar service with At&t. My gf had Verizon and there wasn't one place in the city / long island or upstate that she got service and I didn't, love AT&T I do get dropped calls sometimes but 3G works great for me 90% of the time. Most people that have bad reception with AT&T and iphone are the same ones that refuse to update their phones or are just exaggerating about how they lose service. because I have been in many places with people with sprint / verizon / T-Mobile and with AT&T I always have service longer than any other carrier.

Verizon Wireless has foremost the best reception than any wireless carrier. I had T Mobile and Cingular and they really need to upgrade on their network. I never had a problem with thier network wherever I go. Especially out of the tri-state. They do work under some the #6 Train stations, Chambers and Essex St.on the J Train and in Atlantic Ave. and Borough Hall on the #4 train. I was shocked to recieve reception with them waiting on the 1st car of the Manhattan bound F and V train in 34 street / Herald Square ( 1, 2 bars though. )

Everything I've read about T-Mobile on this site is absolutely correct. I experience all the same issues. I thought it may be just my phone or just me. I get full reception, standing in the same spot, that drops to zero and then drops the call. Does T Mobile have weaker signal strength? I left Verizon for this crap, probably heading back to Verizon. Cool phones are a plus... but only if they work! Verizon needs better phones and T-Mobile needs better service, at least in the US. I got better reception in the niddle of an African safari, no kidding!

Had Sprint years ago - no reception - switched to Verizon 5 years ago - very few reception problems since. The LG 8000, while large, gives good reception (also has a faily low SAR of 85) - Main negative no Bluetooth.

Just changed my old Motorola V60c (brilliant) after 2.5 years. Verizon reception perfect everywhere, can even take it in the bathroom. Just got this weekend Motorola V265 and had to change it after 48 hours - no sound, bad connection, static and dropping calls. Second new V265 brilliant - so far! Verizon is the best - with AT+T my partner has to hang outside my apartment window to get even one bar!

I get poor reception in my apartment on 14th and Ave A, or anywhere else I've been in Manhattan for that matter. I was told my Samsung phone needs an upgrade to work better, but I only bought it three months ago (warranty is up already, so store won't take it back). They want me to mail it to Texas for repairs, and won't give me a loaner or pay for shipping. Having a ten minute conversation without dropping the call is rare. AT&T is horrible. I am paying the $175 to cancel service and switch to Verizon.

Problem is in my apt. Phone will cut out for no reason. I used to have an Audiovox phone which was perfect. Used it for about 5 years until it started giving me problems turning it on. Had no problems until then and had perfect service in elevators, the subway, etc. Have always had Verizon and find they have the best coverage; I blame the phone I got from them recently for the sporadic cut-outs.
