There is a Verizon Tower on campus right behind the Kiernin Center. Because of this, reception is amazing all over campus. Unfortunately, once you walk toward the gorge you enter Canada's service.
In my dorm, I get no bars (but signal) or digital roam. It bounces from digital roam to maybe 1 bar at the most (2 bars and I have a heart attack). If I go outside, I might get a bar or 2 at the most. I tried one of those cell phone antenna boosters just now, get 1 bar instead of digital or no bars. Mom brought up dad's Nokia and her new Sprint phone, neither of them had more than 1 bar. Samsung is the best reception phone for Sprint, I think, and nothing works. People here have Verizon and they get full reception, anywhere. Even on Main Street in the middle of downtown Buffalo, I get no signal... yet in the country, in the hills of Boston, south of Buffalo, I get 4 bars. Explain this to me?
