Signal is usually 3-4 bars throughout most areas. The signal is EXTREMELY intermittent however. Both my T-Mobile G2 and my friend's MyTouch 4g lose signal every 5-15 minutes. Resetting the phone does not help, and there are no settings that I am aware of (yes I've looked, a lot) that will improve the issue. The signal simply drops a lot, especially when moving the phone short distances. This happens everywhere I've been in town so far. From Wayne ST to Green ST, Walmart Plaza, Bradner's Stadium, outside, and inside.
