I am originally from the area however moved away several years ago. I have an Aunt that lives in Owego and I visit her several times of year. Over the past couple of years I have had AT&T and Verizon. While visiting AT&T worked the best at her house with full bars and 3G coverage as well. However Verizon is very spotty in the area. When downtown coverage is great however on the north side of town where my aunt lives and where the school is there is very poor coverage and there appears to be a service gap in this area. I have noticed that Verizon Works the best in the summer with an average of 1-2 bars outside and none to 1 bar inside. This past summer when I was up I noticed there was a new tower that went up over on Anderson Hill. I called Verizon and they confirmed that it was their tower. I was back in town just the other week and the tower still had not been activated. Hopefully by next summer coverage should be improved drastically.

Workes better in the winter. In the summer it is touch and go if it works. People with AT&T have no problem in the house. I'm thinking of switching.

I get very good reception through town, but at our school there is none with Verizon were Sprint and Cingular / ATT gets good service. Sprint Service is also good through out here too.
