Signal is alright when out doors. however whenever indoors or in someones basement I have no signal

Poor reception outdoors. Unusable or no signal indoors.

Reception is good everywhere. Only sometimes in the hoes you get poorer, but if you get closer to windows it get back up to full signal. Never had problems with any of my phones. Never had dropped call (if the service is good in the area I am in), Overall AT&T is the BEST.

I can't get a consistant signal in the upstairs of my home looking out a south window toward where the nearest Cingular facility is.

a T-Mobile store is right near here, but when I call people in this area they saw that I cannot be understood. They are missing or hear only every other word.

I'm a heavy cell phone user and travel all over the world. I know where all the Sprint dead zones are in Rochester (like the Winery on Turk Hill Rd.on the way to the East View Mall). Atlantic Ave. isn't great either, but 441, 490, 590 and 90 are all fine... The phone makes a huge difference and the Motorola Timeport still can carry the day. Keeping your phone updated with the lastest software is the key to making it work inside of Wegmans, where it now works great. It works in my house even with one bar... .I say this because my wife has the same phone... .once I upgraded her phone software it now works great in Weggies... I'm still looking for a new Sprint Phone... .but it looks like for now I'll just go and get another high capacity battery for this one... The guys at Radio Shack just shake their heads and say that it is still hard to beat the TimePort... .Sprint needs to get with the picture and get some better business phones. Sprint is good with billing and Customer Service. Can't say the same for others... .

I'm not sure if it's the carrier (T-Mobile) or the phone (HP iPaq 6315), but my cell service leave a lot to be desired. I would be what is called a "super user", so when I got my new "state-of-the-art" mobile device, I refused to believe people (like my wife, brother, and all of my friends) when they told me that I was "breaking up", or that my "phone sucks". Anyway, I have heard that the power of the radio on the 6315 is weak, so I might try another phone, but I don't want to buy another one from T-Mobile, because then I'm stuck with it for another year! I think I'm going to buy an unlocked version of something (like the i-mate Jam) and give it a shot. If it doesn't work, I'll start trying other services...

I can't use my phone anywhere near where I live.
