I made the Nov. 25, 2004 comment above... .since then Verizon has installed a new tower in Pine Bush and now the reception in the village is superior. I live about 2-3 miles outside in a very wooded area, yet now I get 4 bars consistently in my home. I am very pleased with Verizon, their customer service continues to be excellent.

This is the only phone service that works anywhere, Circleville, Bloomingburg... only problem is that is prepaid and can be expensive. But the best customer service team anywhere. I heard they use the Sprint Network.

Verizon customer service is superior. Outside of Pine Bush the service is quite good. However, I cannot make consistent calls from my house. I get one bar at most. Calls are constantly dropped. I hear Cellular One has outstanding reception. They have a tower just outside of town. Probably have to switch when contract is up in March. Hate to do it. I like Verizon, but need consistent home based service. I have called them a number of times and really get no serious consideration on this issue. Too bad!

I like Verizon's customer service, and their reception in general is very good. Yet here in Pine Bush, NY Cellular One rules. I get virtually no reception in my house or in the village of Pine Bush with Verizon. When I call them they give me lip service but that is all. Hate to do it, but when my contract is up in July I become "churn."
