Always dropped calls with Verizon. Neighbors have to buy booster to get calls. Ridiculous! Good-Bye Verizon

No reception at work, ever. Horrible reception at home, on the third floor of a building with nothing but 2 floor homes surrounding. On top of a hill. Out of somewhere around 200 calls so far, I'd say at the very least half of them have been dropped. When this contract runs out I'm going back to Verizon. In 4 years with them I never had a single dropped call and had perfect signal 90 percent of the time.

Reception is decent outside the apartment. However... . calls always drop inside the apartment. It dropped several times when I talked to the Sprint rep on phone. They needed to call me back several times in the same night in order to resume the conversation. They were embarrassed bad enough and sent me an Airave (Femtocell) free of charge and waive all the monthly fee and activation fee. Airave works well as long as your high speed internet work. Not recommend if your internet provider is Time Warner because Airave work marginally well on TWC network here. It is because the coxial network here is a mess and the QoS and jitter can't keep up with the femtocell requirement.

Sometimes we get dropped calls inside our house which is less than 500 yards from 2 cell towers. Otherwise, this NExtel phone gets pretty good coveragae all through ot the Albany area.

On Lacnashire and St. Mark's the reception is poor. Inside the house I usually get 1 bar, 2 if I face the East side of my house (front only). I have had very few dropped calls, but reception does get choppy at times. As soon as you drive out on Avon Crest Blvd.and then on route 7, signals jump up to 4 or 5! So, it might be the neighboorhood location (and the fact that there are tons and tons of trees). I have had no issues with Sprint otherwise in the Capital Region or driving up or downstate.

I always have 3g connection even when other services have nothing.

Had Verizon, would need to be pressed up against a south facing window in my house or outside to make a call. With AT&T I get 5 bars inside and have never had a dropped call.

At this moment I am a Verizon customer and Also a Nextel customer (work phone) Long pine RD in Guilderland has poor coverage with Verizon and NEXTEL. Stay away from Nextel / Sprint they are the worst in the capital region (Albany Guilderland, Duenasburgh and altamont. I travel 70% of the time in the US and Canada. Verizon is Way better then Nextel / Sprint. But Im am looking at ATT (I Phone)but I have heard from coworkers that ATT does not have good reception. My company is changing to Cingular / ATT in a month or 2 So I will post an update. My problems with Verzion are POOR SELECTIONS OF PHONES also Nextel as well Sprint is slightly better. Also NEXTEL / sprint has many hiddin fees for example no text plan they deduct min fro your day min and charge you text min as well.Verizon is slightly more expensive but they tell you what they are going to bill you for.

very powerful signal all thru carmen road get full pretty much outside in whole area and 2- full inside. no drop calls at all. cell tower right at hannaford, so pretty good service. I herd Verizon wireless get horrible service in this area but any other service is pretty much good.

no problems in the capitol region, let alone 12309.

Verizon service in this area has always been terrible. I once asked my local Verizon store for an external antenna adapter so I could use a base antenna at my home near here. The Verizon store manager told me to go to Radio Shack as Verizon woudl not sell me the adapter - great customer service! When I ask at the Verizon store about my lousy reception they act as if there should be no problem with my service - what an act! Verizon has just received town aprocal to intall a new cell site on Lone Pine Rd, but lets see how long it is before they build it!

This service sucks. There is a cell tower right by the hannaford and town hall but only Cingular Nextel and one other service have it there. I dont get it, why dont Verizon add on. my friends who have ampd mobile and tracfone say there service sucks too.

This service is right where I live. There is a cell tower right there but its not a Verizon one. If Verizon added them onto it everyone would get full bars but nope. no bars at all. 1..2 if ur lucky

Verizon Wireless is by far the best carrier in this region if not the whole country. I mean I know there are areas that are spotty for them as it is with all carriers. But overall I am very very satisfied. I have had AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint, and none compare to the quality service that I get from Verizon Wireless. And not to mention that they are they only carrier that has their high speed network in the Capital Region. So if you are tired of slow connection, get a Verizon Wireless V-Cast capable handset and say bye bye to the competition.

Get absolutely no reception in this area even though tower is at NYS Thruway Ext 25, just down the road. Nextel Reps don't understand it! Have to hang outside a window to get any cells!

Nextel is HORIBLE! arund scotia, and in houses.

Cingular cut off the AT&T towers in my area. The AT&T towers were all that was living off of. The Cingular network gives me at most 1 bar of reception. My phone teases me with the T-Mobile network however which shows FULL bars, but of course I can't register because I am a Cingular customer. Turn back on the AT&T towers!

Have to go outside to use phone and am dropped with both services.
