The reception is a disgrace. Just look outside, see all the Verizon customers in front of their homes looking for a signal. AT&T works flawlessly in this neighborhood. Hey VerizonWirleless guy "Can you here me now?"

Driving down Hylan Blvd. from Richmond Ave. to Woodvale, one dead zone after another. Impossible to carry on conversation. Reception gets slightly better at night. Called Verizon, got no where. Seems like this problem only began approx. 8 - 12 months ago. Very frustrating!

AT&T worked really well when I had cingular. Unfortunately Now I get dropped calls nonstop. Reception is terrible. I am the one that always has no service. I went to the AT&T store and they told me it was my phone because it is unlocked... but my sister has a Blackberry from ATT with the same problems.

My husband and I had perfect reception in our neighborhood..it's now going on 3 weeks that we lose reception as soon as we're within an 8 block radius in either direction until finally we lose all reception. T-Mobile said they have a tower down which is currently being replace but they 'have no idea' when it will be up and running. How can this be ?!?!? Such a scam..

Amazingly I have Good or Perfect Reception with Verizon wireless in my Area. I had AT&T service before and their service was horrible in my area,i mean no reception at all. I mean it worked perfect in the city, but nothing is more important than service in my own house to me. And just a reminder to all of those who don't know this, the phone does have a lot to do with reception as well. like they say and this is with any cell phone company: you get what you pay for.

In parts of St. George and New Brighton, there is virtually no reception with AT&T. Ours and all our immediate neighbors' is virtually nonexistent, generally with 1 or no bars, and sometimes shooting up to four and then disappearing again. T-Mobile has similar issues in this area, and I suspect they share signals or towers. No question: in much of the area around the Staten Island Ferry, and on the ferry itself, AT&T is practically worthless. I'd dump them if someone hadn't given me an iPHone!

Verizon is horrible. I have been complaining for years. They claim problem will be resolved soon. I'm waiting 7 years!! TMOBILE seems to be the best choice in this area. Unfortunetly Verizon is provided to me from my company.

Verizon, and Nextel are the worst providers in this area. I had Verizon for several years, and although there service was above avaerage in most places, where I needed it to work most it failed. Nextel fails as well. T-Mobile is the best provider if you live on the south shore of Staten Island, followed by AT&T, and Sprint.

Complete dead zone. from Hylan to as far as Ciro Pizzaria the phone service is unavailable. I have to travel several blocks away from this "dead" area and the signal will gradually improve.
