in 2004 I could not make / get calls with T-Mobile. Tried Verizon. With 1 bar inhouse still get disconnected in 10-20 seconds. Reception outside is slightly better.

I had great reception until March 10th. I have only had this phone for a month. Now I cannot receive incoming calls or make outgoing. If by some miracle the phone rings in my house... I can't hear the other party. I don't recommend this company. AT&T was the same. I am so frustrated!

Just got it today, no good I had Sprint and I had no problems but I wanted a new phone and you know if you are a new customer you get the great prices. Anyway reception in the house 1 bar to none forget about the basement not even close to the window. I had T-Mobile before same problem nice phones but if you can't use them what's the diffrence. Going to try Verizon I here from family and friends that it's great.

Very frustrating especially at times of emergency. No bars, no reception, no anything. Must take phone and walk a distance from home in order to make a call. Very sad.

For people who lives in this area, nothing works other than AT&T GSM. I tried Sprint, Verizon, Cingular, T-mobile, nothign works. As for AT&T, the reception varies from phone to phone. My nokia 3200 has 4/5 bar reception, yet my Seimens C56 only have 1/5 bar.

The area along Rockland Ave from Manor Road to Ricmond Avenue has NO Reception at all using my cell phone. My older Nokia had some (low) reception in the area perhaps due to a different technology.

The Great Kills Area in Staten Island is notorious for reception problems. Even Taxi cabs say their radios go out in this area. I literally stand outside and spin in circles hoping to get a signal..which usually never happens.

AT&T GSM very poor in Staten Island in general, but near the Bayonne Bridge in particular. At this intersection (where my office is) no reception whatsoever.

Before September 11 it was very good than it became really really bad with no service even outside. Last couple months it improved and I now get service outside for the most part with the occasional "emergency calls only" (I never really understood that, the service is good to make emergency calls but not regular ones, go figure). In my house I get decent service but sometimes choppy if i don't go by the window on the top floor and no service unless i'm by a window in my lower floor.

There is a major dead spot around Tompkinsville, which the company admitted one year ago. Company says new towers will be installed by April 2004, but in this area service still very bad. AT&T phones in this area work very well. Service one block away (on top of the hill, Scribner Ave.) is better. Except for the dead spot, where my office is (very important!), service has been average to good.
