Perfect 98% of the time indoors and out. Some days you get a couple lost calls but those occur few and far in between. Very satisfied with the service.

I have Cingular prepaid, so Cingular customers with actual plans might have better service, but in this horrible area of the north shore of long island, it really is all the same. Nobody else but Cingular can actually get more than 1 bar around my neighborhood, and it seems whereever I usually go I get better service with Cingular than my friend who has a RAZR with Verizon. Funny thing is though, that I might be wrong since I can 4 bars but when I make a call it suddenly drops to 1 or 2 bars. My friend can make calls as well, I just think Cingular works just slightly better. I can say for sure that Cingular / Verizon works best in this particular area, DEFINITELY NOT SPRINT / NEXTEL any other carrier as I've tried them or seen friends not being able to make a call until they get to port jeff or the movies in lake grove. Overall good enough for this horrible area(rich dudes fault not wanting towers in the town, its really dumb since I dont go looking for towers in my neighborhood then complain about it like a baby)

Absolutely horrible reception! I've had the same problem for 7 years with verizon. The most I can do is text and half of the time they don't go through. Incoming and outgoing calls are impossible with 0-1 bars, most of the time no bars at all. What's really frustrating is not even a missed call will show up, the only time I find out if I missed a call is if the person calling decides to leave a voicemail. Verizon customer service is useless, saying it's not their fault because it must be the "build" of my house. They should have made it verbally clear that there is a 100% chance I may not get any reception in my own house. The least they can do is give the complaining customers a discount on that ridiculously priced extender satellite. Why should I pay 250 dollars so they can do false advertising and claim they have the leading carrier networking service? I'm canceling my service asap. 7 years, i've had enough.
