My reception is good mostly all over Tarrytown except near the lakes approaching Marymount College. I can live without reception for a few seconds compared to the wonderful and affordable I get from Tmobile. I've driven to Woodbury Comnmons via I-87 North and have maintained signal 100%. I've driven all the way to Manahawken, NJ and the reception is flawless. I've driven from West Palm Beach to Miami Beach via I-95 and the reception was always perfect. Never had a problem in Fort Lauderdale except inside hotels (not that great) on Atantic Ave. but it was doable. I love TMOBILE; they are great and affordable. I have never had billling issues. They have come a long way through the years and I wouldn't go with any other carrier.

Generally, we get decent reception with both my son's and husband's phones. We tried AT&T but could not make any calls from the house - no bargain if you can't use it! Oddly enough, the old AT&T, 5 year old "pay as you go" dinosaur, has fine reception (or did until the youngest child broke off the antenna). However, Pocantico, the area in which we live has many, many 'dead zones'. They are notorious for it. Don't even try to make a call from the Pocantico Pool - won't work! But overall, the Verizon plan works well. The only real problem with Verizon is that they are always making mistakes on the bill. They say we went over our minutes, only to find out that "oh, I'm sorry - you are right - those ARE Verizon to Verizon calls" oops... So... if you run over your minutes - ask to see the printout. You may find that you have not gone over, after all. If they paid me my hourly rate for the time I spend on the phone with them straightening out my bill, I would have free phone service!. So..in summary, decent reception but watch your bill for accuracy. I feel confident that much of the money they make is on overage charges that may not even be legit but people are too busy to track it down!
