Call quality is above average inside and outside of the house. Only 6 dropped calls since I've bought the phone in April 08. (This is out of thousands of calls i've made on the phone). Great carrier. Sprint's network (not customer service or phones) is better

There is 1 bar to no bar as soon as you enter the house. The reception is better at other locations.

The reception is absolutely bad as soon as you enter the neighborhood. It goes from 2 bars to 1 bar as soon as you enter the house. You have to be close to a window and in a particular direction in order to make a call. If you move too much and go to the interior of the house, the calls drop. Even otherwise they drop after some time. The customer service gives reasons like 'you are close to the creek', 'you have brick walls', 'there is no tower nearby' and so on. The reception on Verizon is even worser as my office phone is through them.

Had my Sprint phones for years, can't remember getting a dropped call, here or on the road.

Very good performance in metal bldg and in basement of industrial complex. Infrequent loss of signal in some parts of basemant and subbasement.

If I can connect at less than 5 bars I often get dropped during the first minute of the call. Can you hear me??????? (response - You are breaking up badly) You can almost forget making calls indoors anywhere. That's OK in the summer but this is Buffalo and I don't smoke. I am a free agent and shopping around with a lot more smarts than the first 2 year stint I suffered through with Verizon service. The phone is likely a huge contributor to your service quality but why sell phones that don't work reliably? What if there is an emergency and you are inside a building and your phone won't work?

Service does not work indoors. The whole area is industrial. You have large old buildings. Nextel states they don't guarantee indoor service in this area when I called them about the problem. There are areas outside where I loose reception all together. Always in the same spot.

You have to take the phone outdoors in order to ensure uninterupted service.

You will not be able to call from inside of your house. On the outside you will get decent signal.

Excellent reception.
