AT&T transplated. Cigular is much better than AT&T was. I did upgrade to a new phone and orange SIM card to see this improvment however. BTW I belive the signal bars on all these phone are almost meaningless. With AT&T it seemed after every over the air SIM update I got more bars but no real improvment in signal.

T-Mobile in this area is amazing. The reason the other reviewers are having probs is because they are using crappy phones (v300 and e105). Better than Cingular. I am very happy. Their CS is amazing as well. Not a dropped call yet.

Before this, I had ATT GSM service. Absolutely horrible. I couldn't have a conversation without voice cut outs. Cingular has benn much better. I get perfect service almost everywhere I go, including NYC. I haven't had a dropped call or voice cut out yet. I am very pleased.

At first, ATT was OKAY at best. Since they merged with Cingular, they are horrible! I always get 4-5 bars, but what good is that if I can't hear the person I'm speaking to when they are yelling "Hello!" or they can't hear me (most of the time the latter). I constantly get dropped calls all over the place. I will try out Cingular since they still and always will work off of different towers than ATT but if I don't like them, PCS / 1900 here I come! Either T-Mobile, Verizon or Nextel.

2 bars max but usually around no service or 1. I get a network busy error 90% of the time I make calls. Calls to not come in and messages are delayed. I tried multiple phones and it seems to be the same.
