Very poor reception in neighborhood. Below Average at best when at work in Rochester (testing done indoors).

Been on T-Mobile for about 3 years for the international benfits of GSM. The phone / service isn't bad around town, but at my home it's unacceptable.. Our other phone is Verizon, and it's great so if I didn't travel so much I'd just stay with them.

Cingular sucks! I live off of Hatch Rd., by Ridge Rd. in Webster, 5 miles from Downtown. No, I repeat, NO reception in my house, dropped calls all the time, no coverage inside a store or bar outside of downtown. I have had them for almost 4 years, switched through 4 phones, kept them for the rollover (which every company even Vodaphone, Verizon's parent company in Europe, offers!). Verizon phones are SO far behind the GSM phones, but all the GSM companies offer crap service here. And now with Cingular buying AT&T, I am going to lose the tiny bit of T-Mobile coverage that I have just south of me! The Motorola V400 has lots of problems, I never thought I would step back in time technology wise, but I'm giving up and going with Verizon. The Motorola V710 is about on par with the V600 (better camera, can take video), but at $300.00 a lot of money. Again, upstate NY gets the shaft!

Occasionally cuts in and out during conversation inside the house. I almost never lose the connection, though. Seems to work better in other parts of town. Verizon works better for me than Sprint, which used to drop calls regularly, but it doesn't work well enough for me to use it as my only phone.

I can only get reception in certain parts of my house. Calls are often dropped getting closer to lake ontario. Sometimes just having the phone in my pocket will kill the signal. The phone cuts out often. The problem has gotten worse (I've had the phone 14 months). Text messaging and AIM is the biggest problems. Texts never seem to send. If you go with T-Mobile try another phone because this one combined with T-Mobile is junk!
