My phone rarely gets reception in my apartment. It doesn't even ring and I cant make outgoing calls. I ended up buying the ATT Microcell for $200 and it works fine with that.

I just bought a new phone thinking that the disruption in phone service was because of my previous phone.The aggravation continues. Static and inability to carry on a conversation continues.Can't something be done? We are paying for this?!

I live in a building. Inside reception is horrible. If the weather outside is bad forget about making a phone call without the other person saying "huh?" or "what?" Outside of the building it works fine. I've been with Sprint for 30 days and so far I'm Luke warm about them. Might eat that early termination fee and go to somebody else soon.

Have Verizon for at least 5 years and always have receptions where ever I go. Switch it from Nextel which never had any reception. Use to watch everyone else talk while I try to get reception with my nextel.

absolutely no reception indoors or outdoors in the co-op area at the end of Rumsey rd,go down to the parkway and you are back in business.the company actually suggested I try walking down the road 1 / 2 mile to make calls!

I recently purchase an IPhone, had no service in my house and poor reception outside of my home. Hope to see improvement in the future.

Great reception; tried TMobile,lousy service in this area.

A number of us at work with Cingular (then) noticed our bars were less then normal. We (5 of us) all called to "complain" and in a few days we were all maxed out with bars. Yes, sometimes in buildings signal is weak but that's understandable. I believed the were working on a tower nearby St. John's hosptl.

So far, I have had good service in and around my home, which is a relief since I cut off my landline. However, there are the dreaded dead zones even only a block away! Expect to have dropped calls when going into Manhattan off the Deegan or Saw Mill Parkway. In general, decent reception in and around metro area, regardless of which phone I have used with Tmobile. Tmobile is like the girl with the curl, right in the middle of her forehead. When she was good, she was very good, but when she was bad, she was horrid!

I have no problems with the service but I got this phone just 2 months ago and sometimes a missed calls because the phone has some issue but the service is great.

Calls get dropped, reception is piss poor. sometimes I do not receive messages until I am leaving the area. spoke with Nextel they said I had to upgrade software. did not help

Reception on plamer rd is very bad. Not to mention on alot of other cross streets. Complained for 1 year, tickets issued, they kept lying to me. I cancelled and moved to cingular.

It's pretty good for me... . Cingular is all around.. If u r inside make sure you are near a window. In some buildings though I don't get reception... In the hallways going to my building,I would miss calls because of no reception

Nextel has no service on the West Side Hwy. North bound when you merge onto the Cross Bronx Expressway. You also loose service on Interstate 87 North bound (major deegan expressway) when you reach the vancortland park exit it last for at least three exits all the way up to the Yonkers Raceway exit in Yonkers.. What a dead zone. I call Nextel they say it is because of enviroment issues. My Sprint phone works great in those areas go figure.

Sprint PCS is the way to go. I traveled all over the NY area and NYC area (all boros). As well as CT. Sprint uses there network as well as verizons and others. You will always get a signal... And the fair and flexible plans no roaming charges and no huge overages. 10 cents a min. Dont walk and run to the nearest Sprint store...

Nextel couldn't be better. I recently drove up to Lake George N.Y. 200 miles away from Yonkers. The signal was strong all the way up and I received all of my calls. If you don't have Nextel, get it. The best cell phone service around. I used to have Verizon. Nothing but dropped calls, or missed calls going right to voicemail.

my phone would often crackle and drop off... but for the past week I have no signal at all... .it really sucks... and Verizon is telling me I need to upgrade (when I just got the phone 6 months ago after losing one) and start a whole new 2 year plan (when I am due to finish my 2 yr. plan in December. I am very unhappy with them... !

I get service everywhere Except for basements. I even get servince in my school audotorium while other ppl have 1 bar or less
