Sprint
Inside the house, there's almost no reception unless the phone is set on Roaming. Outside the house, 2.

I live outside Akron and get bad reception and dropped calls all over and no reception at house at all. They took over Alltel here and it sucks.

T-Mobile seems to have just about perfect reception evrywhere in town except near Akron Muni Airport

I have T-Mobile and get a great signal. I'm looking at those with T-Mobile complaining of poor reception: you guys should upgrade your phones. The t610 is a good phone, but was released 5 years ago. Same with the V300. Signal is a little rough in older buildings, but overall I'm very happy with my reception. We get alot of minutes for the price, so I'm pretty satisfied.

I live in Akron and ever since AT&T bought Cingular, I've had nothing but problems with reception! Darrow Rd / Rt 91 is TERRIBLE! So is where I work at the corner of 91 and Highland. I get dropped calls or no reception EVERY SINGLE DAY! I can't talk on my breaks cause it gets too frustrating to have 3 dropped calls in 15 min or less! Same happens to and from work. Especially in front of the fireworks factory on Darrow. There's about a mile or 2 that I can't get signals or get dropped calls, but it's like that all up and down Darrow road MANY MANY MANY places! Also at home, Goodyear Heights area, dropped calls ALL the time, just sitting on my couch. Bars on my phone, no matter where I am or traveling, always constantly change from Zero to 5. NEVER has been consistently any one bar and I can just be in one place not moving at all. Is it the phone or the service, that is my question at this point. I've read so many good and bad about EVERY single company including Verizon! Just as many good reviews as bad about them and ALOT of billing issues. SO, my contract with AT&T is almost up and I was going to switch, but it doesn't seem like I'd get any better reception necessarily and I certainly don't want billing errors! So, I'll probably stay and hope it gets better. No guarantees with any cell company. Still wonder if what phones we use make a difference. Maybe there's just a few phones out there that are really worth anything.

I get good coverage most everywhere whether indoors or outdoors. I work in Independence off Pleasant Valley Rd.and compared to my old provider (Sprint) I get much, much better coverage. I know of 3 dead spots on Pleasant Valley for Sprint but thankfully have not found any yet for Verizon. The only reason I did not give them a 5 is that every once in a while I will call someone and I get a real distorted sound that is almost impossible to describe. When this happens I just hang up and redial and then everything is just fine.

Its an industrial area with allot of interference coming from machinery of various companies in the area. Walking in between the companies increases the signal to full strenght but indoors it's either one bar or none. Although the Q struggles to connect a phone call it will, but it will cause a major drain on your battery.

Get many dropped calls in and around my home - even when I step outside of the home it's terrible. Called Verizon a year or so ago and they told me they were updating a tower in Copley. However, I have noticed no difference. Sometimes my phone doesn't even ring, but I get a notification that I've either missed a call or that I've got a v-mail. My husband has Cingular and I have to say that his is worse.

Constanly dropping calls... . In my residence, I have several dead spots where I drop calls constantly. Conveniently in my living room and kitchen. Alltel has told me to update my cell tower programming by dialing their update service (*) number. It has not helped. Verizon is the only carrier that I have found to be reliable in my residence.
