I've Had Verizon for 4years Now and have no Problem With Reception at Holiday Camplands. You need to update your roaming Capibalities every month so you can get the new towers they add. Alot of towers are shared so you need to update them so your phone will recieve them. It don't matter witch copany your with If their an all digital company they just plane suck ! That's why I went with Verizon there Digital Antilog also called triband. Even then they all need more Towers. Also the phones don't have that much power.

When opening a Verizon account in 1998, I was told they had the best network. Living in Cleveland Ohio, the reception was good. We bought a lot at Holiday Camplands in Andover Ohio in 2000, the phone had 2-3 bars and could make calls but dropped them from time to time. As of now in 2006 (with the new tower they put in Andover), my phone drops all calls. For the service to even work one must walk around outside. Verizon claims the service will get better and it's hard to get good coverage in rural areas. I have seen for my own eyes Alltel customers talking for hours with no trouble. I will definently be switching in March 2007 when my contract is finished. Alltel works great in Cleveland as well as Andover Ohio!

How can any company ignore all these people? When my contract expires I will be gone. Cingular sucks as much as ATT.

We went to Alltel about 3 years ago when our Cingular service was hit and miss. I can make and recieve calls virtually anywhere in the campground and the surrounding area with Alltel. Reception is good, calls do not get dropped.

I get told by Verizon that the trees can interfere with reception. Yet they have a commercial with a man in the woods saying "Can you hear me now?" I had better reception summer 2004 then I am now May 2005. I have my calls forwarded from my home to my cell phone since I have a son in the military. This is where I NEED the phone to work, not in my own neighborhood.

The only way to get reception in Andover is to sit on the roof of a car or tail gate of a pickup truck, which okay in the summer time, not so good in the winter, and you only get one or two bars. My dad has a Verizon phone and it works fine for him. I have an AT&T phone and most of the time I can't even get service, let alone a bar or two. It's the same deal in some of the nearby towns like Orwell and Hartsgrove. We need a tower!

Verizon now has a cell tower here. AT&T has choose to ignore us again. I will drop them as soon as contract runs out.

About 6000 people live hear but ATT (and Others) ignore us. Why
