Switched back to Verizon after a 3 month headache with Sprint. Sprint is less expensive, but you certainly get what you pay for. With Sprint, I dropped calls, had mystery voicemail, 7 hour to transmit texts, and garbled conversations. With Verizon... NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. Seem to always have full bars and 3G coverage. I'd have to say Verizon is the best in terms of coverage / price in the Central Ohio area. Sprint is definitely the worst... but they keep saying "We're rebuilding our network... ." Yeah right. Good luck with that. By the time Sprint is finished, they won't have any customers left except those with bad credit that Verizon and AT&T won't accept.

The reception in this area... especially in the Village at Shannon Green sub-division is TERRIBLE. Dropped calls, simply not receiving calls, but then magically there's a voicemail even though the phone never rang, and consistently "garbled" conversations. JUST TERRIBLE. Switched from Verizon simply over price... . just switched back. Sprint's service was just terrible everywhere I went. Tried to call and get the issue resolved, but the only solution they offered was an Air Rave device that requires high-speed internet. I don't have HS internet, so that's not really a solution. Meanwhile, Sprint customers shouldn't have to spend $50 a month on internet for Sprint's service to work. Go with Verizon. They have the best coverage in this area.

Just switched from Nextel to Sprint, figured I would go from poor to great reception... WRONG! This is HORRIBLE, and it's not just here. It has been spotty all over southeast Columbus and virtually NO signal on the other side of Lancaster. In just FIVE days, I have probably missed 50 phone calls (my business relies on my cell phone) and have had a ton of people say "I've been trying to call you, is there something wrong with your phone?" Heck, my phone never even rings half the time! This is absurd, I am switching to Verizon! If you live on the southeast side of Columbus, don't even THINK about Sprint, they suck!

Absolutely perfect phone reception and I love using my broadband speed aircard for the laptop. I will never leave Verizon Wireless... because my company, my family, and my friends all have VZW. However, the wireless industry is so competitive, all the little things are even across the board. The bottom line is who you call and where you live. Period. Some places will have no VZW, and great Cingular... or no Cingular and great VZW. It's not a perfect market... so stop being fickle if you bill was a little weird, and jump from carrier to carrier. You will have pros and cons no matter whwere you go!
