was forced to Verizon when Alttel was bought by them. HATE Verizon and the suck service and the huge bill that could buy me a new car! always over on data and even upped the plan and pay more. I don't use that much data. the wireless internet with Verizon is the same. charging me for data when the device is shut off and no service in our house.

Wondered if everyone who has Verizon have noticed that we who pay for data, I have 6gb=$60, but on bill WE ARE CHARGED MONTH IN ADVANCE $60 + $60 = $120 + VERIZON STATING THAT WE GO OVER ON THE DAY THAT OUR MONTH BEGINS... ... I PAY BILL ON THE 7TH OF EACH MONTH BUT THE DATE OUR SERVICE BEGINS IS THE 18????? They also want to charge $15 if you go over your GB, HOW THE HELL DOES THIS HAPPEN WHEN WE ARE PAYING A MONTH IN ADVANCE TOO????

After trying multiple carriers on several different frequency bands of which included a phone rated for global travel I have come to the conclusion that Verizon is the only carrier that gets reliable reception in this area. I have traveled more than 15 miles in every direction leaving Carrollton and never lost signal. The closest point at which my signal fell off was leaving town on 332 about 15 to 20 miles. I'm shocked that this site says ATT has the best reviews considering out of all of my testing ATT had the lowest performance on multiple devices. Cheap prepaids out performed everyone but Verizon. Which to be honest is horrible news considering how much I despise Verizon for overcharging all of the customers that have been forced to sign with them.

No reception at all here. I don't know what AT&T means by moderate here. There coverage map says moderate, but none of my family gets any coverage at all in this area.

We moved to this area 3.5 years ago. When we moved here we had a choice between Alltel and verizon. We went with Alltel. We had great Service until Verizon bought Alltel and for some reason shut down the Bandwith in this area. I'm still not real clear on why. Can't seem to get a direct answer. something about Verizon being a monopoly and the FCC regulating how much bandwith they are allowed to have in this area. So basically there is no cell phone service in this area. I thought that that service would eithr stay the same or get better once we had to become Verizon customers. NOT THE CASE.

With Alltel, have 5 bars all throughout town. We live SE of town - east of Canyon Road. 4 bars on Canyon, but down the hill at our home, only 2 bars. We put an antenna on the roof and a wireless amplifier in our house and now we have 5 bars in the house. We have found Alltel to have excellent coverage in this area (with LG phones, anyway) while those with Verizon have very little coverage.

Very good reception in most of town. Reception drops off as you go east and south of Carrollton.
