Reception ranges from poor to none, both at my home and around UC campus. Wonder why, since UC is on top of the hill. Also, I suppose this affects so many people...

I use Cincinnati Bell. Approximately a year ago I did get 1-2 bars part of the time, more recently I don't get any reception at all. I contacted Cincinnati Bell and was told they know this is now a dead area but can't tell me if it will ever be changed. I know they use AT&T (Cingular) and both Cincinnati Bell and Cingular have cell phone towers within a short distance (less than a mile) so would expect good coverage here, but... ... ... ...

I lose calls, fail to have bars and have a lousy phone. When I contact Cingular, they argue with me and offer to replace the phone that has been changed out prior with a new one, if I sign a 2 yar contract. My husband switch from Verizon to Cingular a couple of months ago. Needless to say, we are so disappointed that we are going to spend $350 to end both contracts and go to another carrier.

I was a Cincinnat Bell user for years and NEVER had reception problems or dropped calls-hence why I don't understand the "Can you hear me now" commercial. I switched to T-Mobile as I am travelling internationally in a few weeks and they offered the best international roaming price. I HATE T-MOBILE. I have had several dropped calls in the last 3 weeks of service(daily). I now use the phrase from said commercial continuously and most times just cannot hear what people are saying. The reception is so poor that my mother doesn't even want to talk to me on the phone anymore because she can't understand or hear what I am saying. When I am straining to listen to the person on the other end, it sounds like they are talking thru a tin can with a string attached to it, on top of a mountain 12,000 miles away and it is picking up ALL the background noise possible. I think smoke signals make a better impact than T-Mobile's reception. How does a company get to be so big with such piss poor focus on the very thing that makes them the company they are? A cell phone provider?? Seriously. I have tried switching phones, trying the same model but different phone, trying a completely different phone from a different maker... no luck. The kicker, I am stuck because they still make you sign a contract. I am pretty sure they do this because they know their service sucks so you get stuck and they keep taking your money and luring you with my faves and crap like that. UGH! I should crawl back to CB and beg them to take me back..maybe I will even bake them cookies and do 40 Hail Mary's for their forgiveness.

The Verizon Wireless reception is still very poor in this part of Anderson Township. I have personally contacted Verizon several times about this problem, and nothing is ever done. I get blown off every time I call. The System Performance Team needs to correct this problem. Does anyone else have problems with reception in this area or at the intersection of Hopper Rd.and Eight Mile Rd? They need to put another Verizon tower in this area. I only get one or two reception bars in this residential area. Come on Verizon, get with the program!

T-Mobile usually has good reception here... All the bars even in the basement. As I travel around Cincinnati, up 71, down 75, I get dropped calls. Mason has almost no reception. I'm looking for something more reliable.

3 / 4 bars. Very good reception 90% of the time. Only a few dropouts in 9 months. Verizon's billing department bites my rump though! Anyone else have the monthly horror of billing overcharges not justified???
