i have had three fones, from sprint. the only one that has good reception is the a940. all other fones would drop calls or have two bar... a940&mm900 is your best beat with sprint.

every 2-3 calls, I get a poor connection (very scratchy / cracking in background)

I don't use my phone a lot from home, but I've always had a stong signal when I've used it here.

Reception inside Edgewater Park and / or on the water at any distance is somewhere between 0 and 1. Unsually 0.

1 bar indoors, 2-3 bars outside.

I'm on an extended visit to my parents, and borrowed this phone from work. Coverage inside the house is dreadful. One bar, none sometimes. And then, sometimes, as another poster mention, it goes up to 5 bars. I'm baffled and annoyed, but at least I give the phone back in two weeks...

I just moved to the area and my phone gets little to no reception in the Coventry area and ZERO reception in my apartment. I have not met anyone else with Sprint to compare; I'm not sure if an upgrade would help, but I'm going to give it a try!

Nothing else comes close in signal strength. Have asked everyone with a cell.

Sometimes I get 0 bars, sometimes I get a perfect 5. Its like their antenna is some sort of radar dish rotating 360, occationally pointing to my area.

Perfect reception at the corner of Mayfield and SOM. Cingular tower on roof of Gates Mills Towers, so I get a full five bars. Reception trails off as you go up mayfield, and phone roams on T-Mobile in nearby Tops market.

Indoors signal floats between none and two bars tops. Calls can't be made or received without being dumped within 15 seconds. It was like this five years ago with the Sidekick I on TMobile. Way to improve the network / handset guys!

Virgin mobile is far by the WORST..They are incredibly expensive Unless you have the phone for emergencys.. I purchused the SE47 Slider... This phone is garbage.. save your $100 and your $20 on your first phone card

I generally get good reception throughout the Cleveland area. The only negative is that sometimes while at home I can have a full 5 bars, and then lose the call for up to a minute, and then have the call come back into reception. When this occurs, I can hear the other side / caller, but that person can't hear me. It's not the phone either, as my wife's phone (different model) does the same thing. Again - overall - good reception.

There is no reception at all in this major suburban market of Parma, Ohio near this area. 25,000 cars a day travel here commuting into Cleveland and every call is dropped . This must be fixed or Sprint is gone in this major market.

The VGA1000 has excellent features but the singal is very weak.

My phone is useless at home. I don't know whether it's the phone or the carrier.

I just switched from TDMA (Nokia 3160) to GSM because the reception is supposed to be better and I wanted a new phone anyway. I got 200x better reception on my 2 year old TDMA Nokia than I do on a brand new GSM LG G4015. I think it is AT&T and not the phone, but it could be both.

Sprint seems to have a large hole in their service in this area.

If I'm outside I can hear fine, but if I'm in the house I receive static. If im in the basement I get static or can't hear at all.

Drops out all the time, rarely get more than 3 out of 5 bars for over a 15 second interval anywhere in Cleveland. Old Nokia TDMA had Good reception for same area nearly 90% of the time. Its gotta be the phone! It looks great, and the games and tones are cool but the reception makes me regret I even got it, free or not!!!
