I lose calls if I move from the living room to the kitchen. Husband had Sprint for a couple years, then he switched to tmobile. It was great before we moved - now we get dropped calls all the time. The T-Mobile website even shows you which areas have poor reception, etc. And the new phone deal is a load of crap! He wanted his free phone and they showed us 2 phones that were EXACTLY like his current phone - they didn't even show him a phone with a camera (he has one now, but their "upgrade" did not). In order for him to get the phone that he wanted, he would have to pay for it and sign a 2-year contract. The T-Mobile rep told him if he just wanted a new phone without a contract - to buy a phone from ebay! We're looking for a good company, with good reception that is not either T-Mobile or sprint.

I use Verizon and in my house I can only get 1 bar on a good day. In order to use my phone, I have to go outside (facing east) and I usually have to step away from my house by about 15 yards. I cannot wait to switch. My friend has Sprint and her phone works fine in my house. I just read another review saying Sprint does not work in Old Towne East, so I am a bit hesitant, but my friend always uses her phone when she is over. This is something I have seen so I feel pretty good about it. Verizon stinks (they all do). A customer service blunder of theirs (at their Henderson Rd.Store) cost me an additional 150 dollars when splitting up a family plan into 2 individual plans. I am assuming are cell companies are evil, but Verizon has been crappy to me and I am leaving them! woo hoo!

I've had Verizon Wireless for over a year now and I haven't seen it go below 4 bars anywhere in Columbus. The only dropped calls I've experienced so far were phone related. Definitely amazing service that can't be beat.

Verizon and Cingular are the only two who work in this area of Columbus both outside and inside buildings. I can even use my phone in the basement of my residence. Sprint and Nextel struggle to get 2 bars and hold calls even if I go outside. Beware of them if you live in the OTE area in this bubble area that has 4 Sprint towers within a mile of it!

Signal drops from 4 or 5 bars to 0 randomly, leading to most calls getting dropped at some point. Numerous dead spots throughout Columbus. Terrible customer service, with them trying to convince me to get a new phone (this is my fourth phone with them). I will be switching to Verizon when this god-awful contract is up in a few months.

dropped calls abound and can hardly hold a conversation in my home. I switched from Verizon because they constantly billed me correctly but they had a good signal.

In my apartment (the Commons on Kinnear) I have to stand perfectly still by the window to get any signal. The only reason I haven't switched to another carrier is because my parents are paying for my phone and I'm cheap. Reception in most other areas is passable.

Cingular sucks on the Ohio State Campus and in Columbus. Their call quality is TERRIBLE! They don't get reception in several buildings on campus, which wasn't a problem in the past because they would roam on T-Mobile. That ended around March, 2006. So now, they leave you with little or no service. Do yourself a favor and do not use this awful carrier.

Poor reception in the Gahanna / New Albany area. I've had no signal, and dropped calls. In my house I'm lucky to get 2 to 3 bars. The Easton store is terrible with customer service. They plod you in and out like cattle, and when you need more information they do not know. I went in for a new phone, and was upset at the lack of help. They have few phones on display, so you don't even know what you are buying. When I brought up prices and how it was cheaper over the internet the rep. just stood there and looked at me. Their plan prices are good along with internet access making it a deal, but poor reception and bad help may have turned me off to keeping their service.

I tried AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon. I have stuck with Verizon because it was the only of the four with which I could make a call from home, school, and anywhere but Sandy, Utah, and the Kroger on High and N. Broadway. Might give Cingular a shot since I want a free new phone.
