Constantly roaming at our home, drops calls all through area. Same problem with different phone models (Samsung). We are situated between 2 major highways, I-71 and SR 315 and can't get good service.
I never have any reception problems with T-mobile in Columbus. Signals remain strong in buildings and never dropped a call. All of my friends use T-Mobile or is about to switch to T-Mobile. Personally I have them for 19 months so far and very satisfied. For sure, T-Mobile is the best service provider in Columbus, Ohio.
In my apartment in Columbus (Worthington) reception isn't great, upstairs I can get 1 or 2 bars though (3 if I'm lucky). There are a few areas near me with spotty reception, but not many. Dowtown reception never drops below 2 bars even inside most buildings. Between Newark and Columbus on 161 reception is great, and I have good reception around Granville. Just got back from Athens and reception was good there too, for the drive as well (37 to 33).
