Never drop calls. Typically 4 / 5 bars. Data speed isn't the most awesome on Sprint (3G) but it's tolerable. I really have very few reception problems in the Dayton area, EVER.

I am sedolmy in 3G while anywhere near Trotwood. If I am inside forget the web, Imust go out side to use it and then it is very slow. At my home in Englewood its better but in the edge or g mode. At work off of Wagnorford RD while in the building no signal at all. Outside I just manage to make calls. Eveywhere else it is amazing.

I frequently use my phone in many different areas in and around Dayton, OH. Englewood, Clayton, Harrison Township, Riverside, Vandalia, Huber Heights, Beavercreek, Washington Township, Oakwood, Kettering, and everything in between. Verizon calls have been reliable in all areas. Riverside Dr.near Helena St.has a perpetual dead spot in a low lying area surrounded by buildings and high ground. This area was also a problem years ago when I was with MCI. The road winds along the river where a large levee has been built up. You can almost count on losing a call in that stretch of road. If going north, away from downtown Dayton, best to just wait until you cross Helena St.or Ridge Avenue, it's only a minute or two depending on the traffic lights. Also, calling from the shopping center where Kohl's and PetSmart are located in Huber Heights is usually a waste of time. If you're inside that shopping center forget it, but you may get lucky if you call from the parking lot outside. Again, it's a low-lying area moslty surrounded by high ground. I just had to exchange my LG VX6000 because it had lost it's ability to call from nearly everywhere, but, until the trouble set in, it was a very good phone. My upgrade, the LG VX6100, seems to have a slightly weaker signal overall, but call quality is vastly superior, and the speaker phone quality is excellent. The camera in the 6100 is noticeably better as well.
