Reception is hit or miss. If you move around while you talk, you are going to get dropped calls. Texting is very difficult which is ironic because you only need a slight signal to send a text. Verizon says I should be getting good reception; however, I have had to use some unconventional means to try to get signal. (the used can external antenna)

Horrid, horrid reception. Garbled calls and "call failed," daily. Stay away. I left Verizon Wireless because I wanted to try something new after 7 years of being a loyal VZW customer. I guess it's true what they say, "you never know what you've got until it's gone." I took for granted just how good I had it. Now I know why Cingular has gotten the reputation it has and why they try so hard to lie to customers about having the least dropped calls.
