We are five users on family plan and it seems that none of us can complete a conversation while in Eastern Oklahoma County due to dropped calls, regardless of the number of bars initially showing. My Cingular contract is now over and I plan to switch to either U.S. Cellular or T-Mobile.

I had Cingular (now at&t) prior to switching to US Cellular. I was constantly having dropped calls and spent the majority of my time asking if the other person could hear me. The US Cellular signal strength is similiar if not a little better to AT&T in my house. However, even if the signal shows one bar or even no bars, the calls are still very clear and never drop. I love US Cellular. I am traveling to far west Oklahoma over Labor Day and will post how reception is there. My phone does have the ability to roam analog if necessary, but US Cellular assured me I won't need that even in rural west oklahoma. Cingular didn't have service there, so I am hoping US Cellular is better. Everywhere else I have been it works wonderfully.

I have been with Cingular(SWB) for 12 years. I would have to say that my phone service in the past couple of years have gotten worse. I dont know if it is the quality of phones that they are selling or lack of towers to service their customers. In my house in town Choctaw I have 1 maybe 2 bars and outside I can get 3 bars. I have several friends that have different brand phones with Cingular and they have the same problems Im having with bad reception. I have a nation plan and for the most part I have been happy with them. But I am thinking about trying another provider. Maybe US Cellular.

Alltels service is horrible. and their cust. service is even worse. I was with AT&T for 14 years and never had a problem. I was with Alltel for less than a year and had nothing but trouble. I had a corp. acct. with 8 lines 2of our blackberrys rarely worked because Alltel couldnt get the programming right. then my wireless internet card was double billed for 3 months straight. And the worse part about all this was the pooooooor cust. service. I couldnt get anyone to return my calls much less speak to me with out being rude. We finally just switched carriers and paid the early disconnect. My advice to everyone use anyone other then alltel.

I had an old Nokia phone -- that was 2 years old and the Cingular rep. called it a dinosaur -- and recently got new service. In the last week I have had two phones, a Samsung and now a Nokie 3120. Both are terrible. I had good reception with my old phone and terrible with the last two. Don't know what to do. I guess the towers aren't set up for the newest phone signals... ..

No service or dropped calls from NE 23rd and Douglas to Choctaw Road. Also many dropped or unanswerable calls all over the metro area. Started when Alltel took over. Was good before then. Am going to try for Cingular even though their customer service is horrible, many people have great service as far as coverage.

Reception outside is fine, transmission outside is spotty (one to two bars max). Reception inside the house is spotty, transmission inside the house is non-existent (one or zero bars). Friends with AT&T Nokia phones have no trouble calling from inside the house. I have to assume its either the phone I have or Cingular.

Terrible. I know this is sort of a remote area, but my roommate has Cingular and gets perfect reception here. I've notified T-Mobile, and expect they will never do anything, but there's about a 10 mile square radius here that you can't go even 1 mile while on the phone without the call getting dropped.
